Today we celebrated Mass for the Presentation of the Lord. We processed with blessed candles. Fr Vince encouraged us to share the Light of Christ with others.

Just as community spirit is the heartbeat of our Fair, volunteers are the lifeblood.

Without our volunteers the Fair just doesn’t happen!

Yes! That’s right! We’re back! And so excited….

The Fair by the Sea committee has met, and planning for Fair by the Sea 2022 is in full swing.

The last couple of years have been challenging and brought great change - not just for our immediate community but, the world. So, continuing with this trend, we think it’s time – time for a ‘new look’ Fair!

Don’t worry! We’ll still have a lot of the ‘old favourites’, and we’ll definitely be keeping the humble community atmosphere – a gathering of friends and neighbours – but, we plan to mix it up a bit this year. New attractions, activities, and a new vision.

📖 Sunday Gospel 📖
Luke 24:46-53
Jesus said to his disciples: ‘You see how it is written that the Christ would suffer and on the third day rise from the dead, and that, in his name, repentance for the forgiveness of sins would be preached to all the nations, beginning from Jerusalem. You are witnesses to this.
‘And now I am sending down to you what the Father has promised. Stay in the city then, until you are clothed with the power from on high.’ Then he took them out as far as the outskirts of Bethany, and lifting up his hands he blessed them. Now as he blessed them, he withdrew from them and was carried up to heaven. They worshipped him and then went back to Jerusalem full of joy; and they were continually in the Temple praising God.
