“Easter Sunday invites us into a joy that feels both ancient and startlingly new. Psalm 16 captures this with a quiet confidence:
“You will not abandon me to the realm of the dead…
You make known to me the path of life.”
Long before the empty tomb, this psalm whispered the promise that God’s faithful One would not be left in darkness, and that His victory would open a way for us too.
On this resurrection morning, we celebrate that Jesus has walked that path of life ahead of us. Death could not hold Him. The grave could not keep Him. The shadows that swallowed Him on Friday have been shattered by a dawn that will never dim. In rising, He has turned every dead end into a doorway, every fear into a future, every sorrow into a seed of joy.
Easter is the declaration that God keeps His promises — not abstractly, but personally, powerfully, and forever. Because Christ lives, we are not abandoned. Because Christ lives, hope is not fragile. Because Christ lives, our lives are held by a joy deeper than circumstance and a future brighter than we can imagine.
Today we stand in the light of resurrection — steady, grateful, and alive with the assurance that the God who raised Jesus is still making the path of life known to us.” ~ Sons of Korah
