ADVENT ….its importance and meaning.
The circle of the wreath reminds Christians of God, His eternity and endless mercy, which has no beginning or end. The evergreen symbolizes eternal life.

In Advent, candles are used to celebrate this season with an associated meaning, lighting a candle each Advent Sunday in a particular order. The last candle in the middle of the wreath is lit on Christmas Day.
1st Advent Sunday (purple) – candle of Hope.
2nd Advent Sunday (purple) – candle of Peace.
3rd Advent Sunday (pink) – candle of Joy.
4th Advent Sunday (purple) – candle of Love.

Christmas Day (white) – representing the Birth of Jesus Christ. The flame of this candle reminds us that Jesus is the Light of the World and that if we follow Him, we will never walk in darkness, but will have the true light of life.

Advent is a time to pause, pray and prepare our hearts and minds for the celebration on the Birth of Jesus Christ. May Hope, Peace, Joy and Love be a part of your family's life.

Life's full of wonderful lessons on patience and observing the beauty that surrounds us? This flowering Tillandsia Redy looks amazing! Linda Wilkes from Moat Town Bromelaids received 1st in the air plant section at St Martin's Spring Fair in September this year. 2 months on is such a worthwhile bloom 😊 Photo credit: Linda Wilkes.
