Growing up in faith doesn’t mean needing God less. It means realising just how much we need Him.
Spiritual maturity isn’t a straight line. There are highs, lows, questions, battles and seasons where God feels close and others where faith requires us to stand even when we don’t feel it.
But hear this:
Nothing has gone wrong. God has not abandoned you. You are growing.
Maturity teaches us to walk by faith, not feelings.
To stop asking, “Do I feel God?” and start standing on, “I know God.”
Because the more clearly we see Jesus, the more clearly we understand two things:
I am more in need of grace than I ever realised and more loved, welcomed and accepted than I ever imagined.
The goal of maturity isn't independence from God.
It's deeper dependency on Him.
Not by might.
Not by power.
But by His Spirit.
And ultimately, the goal is beautifully simple:
To know Him.
To behold Him.
And in beholding Him, become more like Him.
