It doesn’t take long for some of our new members to settle in—one little friend was full of beans, dancing and jumping along to the music from the start. 🎶💃🕺 Our Tree of Friendship artwork has also grown a few more ‘hands’/branches. 🌳✋💚

A regular member -B* had his 3rd Birthday recently and brought in some fresh strawberries to share with us all. 🍓🎂 Happy Birthday! 🎉🥳

We spent a lot more time singing and dancing this week—you can see from the photos how much the kids love waving and throwing the scarves—or hiding beneath them. 🎶🧣😄

Our volunteers and social work students also joined in the fun—they’re always on hand if you need anything, and we are blessed to have them all. 💛🙌

You could feel that Spring was around the corner when our kids joined us with a heap of energy last Monday. 🌸☀️ We were also lucky to have a few new faces amongst the group! 👋😊

Our Hands of Friendship tree 🌳🤝 (that was in the video uploaded to our page) grew a little more today and will be there next week for our carers and kids to add their own handprint to it. ✋🍃💚

This week we focused more on singing and dancing to shake all that energy out! 🎶💃🕺 We acted like animals today 🐒🦁🐘—walking in the jungle 🌴🌿 and freezing on the spot when we heard the cues. 🛑😄 Our Social Work Student Ray was the most popular person there when he read the book ‘Feely Bugs’ 🐛📖—with all the kids crowding around to feel the different textures in the book. 👆😊

Enjoy this beautiful weather, with all the flowers and trees coming into bloom. 🌷🌳☀️ We will see you all next week, coming Monday! 👋💛

🌿 What's happening tomorrow, this Monday at Playgroup! 🌿
We’ll be getting creative with a special craft activity 🎨✋🍃—making leaves from the children’s handprints to add to our EUC Playgroup Tree Poster! 🌳💚 We’d love for you to join us and help our tree grow! 🥰

What a difference a bright and sunny day makes! ☀️🌈 We had a rush of people through our doors last Monday morning, with so many kids excited to get straight into play. 🧒👧🎉

The puzzles 🧩 and Play-Doh 🎨 were especially popular today, and our Little Tikes vehicles 🚗🚙 were always occupied as little tracks were worn around the hall. 🛣️💨

Everyone worked hard during packaway time 🧸📦—it’s always nice to see the kids learning these skills, which hopefully means neat bedrooms in the future! 😄✨

Storytime was exciting 📚✨—we learnt about Scuppers, the Sailor Dog, 🐶⚓ who was shipwrecked but never lost his love of the sea 🌊❤️ and enjoyed a sensory book about puppies, 🐕 with ears and bodies that could be patted. 👂😊

A quick sing and dance with musical instruments 🎶🎵🪇 and then it was off to enjoy the rest of the sunny day. ☀️ See you this coming Monday at Playgroup! 👋💛

Last Monday was a slow start on a wet and windy morning. 🌧️💨 But as the sun came out, our little friends’ faces slowly appeared at the door. ☀️😊 The little group meant that there were lots of close chats between our carers and parents. 💬❤️

This week’s books included ‘Do Your Ears Hang Low’ 📚🐶 - a wacky book about a dog with super long ears, that the kids wanted to come closer and see. 👂😄 Our Community Worker sang the little tune to that song that she grew up hearing. 🎶 A little dance to Rockabye your Bear 🐻🎵 and everyone left for a much finer day than it started. 🌤️💛

Maybe you’re looking for a place for your little ones to let off some energy? 🧒👧💃 And to speak to humans that are taller than 3ft as well? 😄 We are here—rain or sun ☔☀️ at 10am on Mondays. Come see us! 💛

This week at EUC Playgroup, we had some new faces joining us! 👋😊 It was lovely to see them settle in and the new carers engaging with our longer-term families. 💛

While the wind was gusting outside 🌬️, we were lovely and warm inside — experimenting with paint and broccoli brushes (yes, actual broccoli! 🥦🎨) to make colourful pictures of trees. 🌳

An efficient pack-away time meant we had time for scarf and musical instrument singing and dancing 🧣🎶💃, as well as four different books at story time! 📚📚📚📚 (I think that the noisy instruments were the most popular part of today! 🥁😄)

More Playgroup Fun Awaits This Monday! 🎶🧸

We are very blessed to have the support of Social Work students from Sydney Alliance at our playgroup over the next few months. Their friendly faces greeting people at the door, playing in the main hall and leading us with story and song time are lovely to see. 😍

We also greatly appreciate the help from our community volunteer, who has quickly stepped into the role and seems to anticipate our needs before we even say anything! Our program also couldn’t manage without the dedicated support from our longstanding volunteers in the kitchen. It really does take a village to run things smoothly. 🌳💕

We can’t forget our littlest helpers-’ pack-away’ time goes much faster with such strong kids giving us help! Then it’s on to morning tea and dancing and singing with scarves. Scratch n Sniff stickers handed out at the end of the session were popular-our oldest ‘kid’ (our Community Worker) was even excited to have one of her own!

Our Playgroup is on today! 💛

Our wonderful Sydney Alliance students have already finished setting up all the toys and are now enjoying a quick cuppa before everyone arrives. ☕🧸

We can't wait to welcome all our little ones for another fun morning together!

💛 We love seeing the connections that our parents and kids continue to build with each other from week to week.

🎲 This week:
• Lots of kids were excited to play with puzzles and create special Play-Doh masterpieces.
• Others stayed dedicated to their favourite trucks, cars and blocks.
• And, of course, our play kitchen was as popular as ever!

🍎 After sharing morning tea together, we gathered on the mat for books and songs.

🦄 Today's story, "That's Not My Unicorn", brought everyone closer together as the children enjoyed exploring the different textures on each page.

🎵 Chao, our Family Ministry Worker, shared his fantastic dancing and singing skills—and so did the kids! We had lots of fun scarf dancing to "Sidney the Snake", before finishing with our "Goodbye Song".

⭐ Then it was time for everyone to collect their stickers... always a highlight for many of our little friends!
