Today, the Church celebrates the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary, one of only three birthdays honoured in the liturgical year.

She was born quietly, unnoticed by the world. Yet in that hidden moment, a new dawn had already begun.

When darkness seemed to have conquered everything, God was preparing the Mother of the Saviour.

On Our Lady’s birthday, ask her for one special grace, something real, something specific and place it confidently in her hands.

May Mary, who entered the world like the first light before sunrise, bring hope, protection and grace into our lives today.

Happy Birthday, Our Lady. 🌹

Today we celebrate the glorious Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary into Heaven.

Taken body and soul into heavenly glory, Our Lady reminds us to raise our hearts above the things of this world and remain faithful to her Divine Son.

At Australia Needs Fatima, we ask Our Lady on this beautiful feast to watch over our families, protect our Faith and draw our nation ever closer to the Sacred Heart of Jesus.

May we answer her call with greater devotion to the Holy Rosary, prayer and reparation.

St Anne and St Joachim faithfully prepared the heart of the Blessed Virgin Mary for the mission God had entrusted to her. Their holy example reminds us that the family is the first school of faith.

🙏 Saints Anne and Joachim, pray for all parents, grandparents, and families. May our homes become places of prayer, love, and fidelity to Christ. Amen.

Early that morning, Mary Magdalene came searching through her tears. She never expected the gardener to be her Lord. But when Jesus called her by name, everything changed forever.

May we, like St Mary Magdalene, never stop seeking Christ, even in our darkest moments. Let us pray for the grace to recognise His voice, trust in His promises, and faithfully share the joy of His Resurrection with others.

"Today we celebrate the Ascension of Our Lord 🕊️

For 40 days after His resurrection Jesus walked with His friends — eating with them, teaching them, proving to them that death had been conquered once and for all and then, on an ordinary walk through the Judean countryside, he spoke His last words on earth and rose into the sky until a cloud took Him from their sight.
Can you imagine standing there watching that? The silence. The disbelief. The grief of losing Him all over again.
And yet they didn't fall apart. They walked back to Jerusalem, gathered around Our Lady in the upper room and they prayed and waited — just as He had asked them to.
There's something really beautiful in that. They didn't have all the answers. They didn't know what was coming next. But they trusted, and they waited, and they prayed together.
Sometimes that's all we're called to do too 🙏

Today is the feast day of St Rita of Cascia 🌹 A woman who endured an abusive marriage, outlived her husband and both sons, was turned away from the convent she longed to enter — and still chose love, prayer and forgiveness every single time. She bore a wound from Christ's crown of thorns until her death in 1457 and her body remains incorrupt to this day. No wonder the whole Catholic world calls her the saint of impossible cases. Pray for us St Rita🙏✨

8608 prayer intentions from across Australia were placed at the feet of Our Lady of Fatima on her feast day.
From families, parishioners, the sick, the suffering, and faithful souls of every age, each prayer was carried to the Capelinha in Fatima, where a candle was lit in your name.
Thank you for entrusting us with your intentions. May Our Lady of Fatima keep you and your loved ones always close to her Immaculate Heart. 🌹🕯️

A very Happy Feast of Our Lady of Fatima from Australia Needs Fatima.❤

Today, we unite our hearts with the great candle burning at Fatima, at the very place where Our Lady appeared to Lúcia, Francisco, and Jacinta. There, in that holy field, heaven touched earth, and today, through prayer, we can be there too.

Wherever you are right now, pause for a moment. Close your eyes. Offer your intentions to Our Lady. Pray for those you love, and for those who have no one else to pray for them.

Our Lady of Fatima asked for prayer, sacrifice, and conversion. Today, let us answer her call with faith and love.✨
