For Easter, ALDI Australia is the only store offering Fairtrade certified chocolate eggs through it’s Moser Roth brand – the eggs come in many flavours! Get in early while supplies last.

School leaders can actively choose products that adhere to ethical standards, especially those related to the most vulnerable people in the supply chains of the goods consumed by schools. By making ethical choices, school leaders contribute to a more just and equitable global marketplace and model ethical behaviour to staff, students, parents and the wider school community.

Ethical purchasing is a practical manifestation of Catholic Social Teaching, aligning choices made at school level with the ethical imperatives of the Catholic faith. Schools can review products highlighted here against current product purchases to set ethical sourcing targets or a transition to ethically sourced suppliers.

Suggested Products for Review include:
- Coffee, Tea
- Chocolate and drinking chocolate
- Sugar sticks for coffee
- Sports Balls, Clothing and Sportswear
- School uniforms, workwear and textiles

Did you notice that it was hard to find Fairtrade easter eggs this year? We know and we're sorry.

Only a few of our partners are able to do easter eggs because many are smaller businesses and the big brands (you know the ones) don't think that being Fairtrade certified is important.

So, what can you do? Buy Fairtrade chocolate all year round (yes, eat MORE chocolate to be ethical). Then, as our partners grow, they'll be able to offer a greater range of easter treats. And other brands might just see that being Fairtrade is valuable - for people, the planet and their businesses.
