They were right there with Jesus as he “went on through cities and villages, proclaiming the good news of the Kingdom of God.”
They were right there with him, mourning and lamenting as he carried his cross to Golgotha.
They were right there, at the foot of the cross, and watched him surrender to death.
And they were the first ones there, on that Resurrection Sunday, when the tomb was empty and they saw the risen Lord Jesus.

And 2000 years on, women continue to play an integral part in the proclamation of the good news of the Kingdom of God.

He is risen! He is risen indeed.

In God’s economy, equality is neither something to deny or grasp. It is willingly laid down in love and joyfully restored to glory.

In God’s economy, power is sacrificed in service of others.

In God’s economy, glorious, extravagant love is poured out on the undeserving.

In God’s economy, the cross, an instrument of shame and torture is the place of our redemption.

In a world shaped by the pursuit of power, Jesus empties Himself.

Through March, I’ve had the privilege of joining Ministry and Mission at their Rural & Regional Forums in Wagga Wagga, Coffs Harbour and Dubbo. I came to listen, and I heard stories of women serving with quiet faithfulness—while working, raising children, caring for parents, and loving their communities. Women proclaiming the gospel in all kinds of contexts.

I’ve been deeply encouraged by their stories, and I’d love for you to hear them too.

Last week, we attended the annual Priscilla and Aquilla.
In the plenary talks, Simon Flinders shared about Radical Kinship: Men and Women in God's family.

If the Church truly is family, how does that change the way men and women work together in the service of the gospel, support one another, and help every member flourish?

Late last year, we farewelled Anna Moss, our inaugural Women's Ministry Facilitator. In 2026, we welcome Sylvia Siu to focus more fully on the role.

Having previously served as the Associate Women's Facilitator, she reflects about this new season of Women's Ministry.

Late last year we announced that the lovely Anna Moss, our inaugural Women’s Ministry Facilitator, had decided it was time to focus more fully on her work with the Family Systems Institute. We felt it appropriate to acknowledge and celebrate Anna and her ministry before announcing what’s next.
