Do you have a little one who would like to be a part of our Christmas pageant on Christmas Eve? Come along for our practices:

Even if you can’t make it to the rehearsals, you can still get dressed up and join in. Just come to the Hall before 6pm Mass. See you there!

In the quiet aftermath of the tragedy that touched our city at Bondi, we pause together to remember, to grieve and to pray. We hold especially in our hearts the Jewish community, who have endured persecution and deep pain. We entrust to God all who have lost their lives, those who have been injured, and all who conti nue to carry the wounds of fear, sorrow, and shock. We pray for healing, for peace in our city, and for peace in our world. May our coming together in prayer be a sign of hope, a source of comfort, and a gentle light in the darkness.

On Saturday 17 January 2026 at our 9am Mass, you are warmly invited to gather with us for a Mass of prayer and remembrance, followed by the Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament, as we stand in prayerful solidarity with our Jewish neighbours.

Happy All Hallows Eve

Hallowe'en (Holy Evening)
This evening, during Vespers, we will gather in silence in the cloister outside our church. Candles will be lit, holy water poured and sprinkled, sweet incense will curl its way through the air enveloping our senses, the organ will play and we will process slowly and solemnly into the church. Thus begins a holy time in our Church's year, a liminal time, a time when we enter into what the Celts call "a thin place", when the veil between heaven and earth is very thin. All Hallows Eve, All Saints Day and All Souls Day are the special days when we remember our dead. These are blessed days, days of celebration but also days of deep memory and connection. May we enter into this time, this "thin place" with stillness, reverence, reflection and gratitude.

🌟 𝗖𝗲𝗹𝗲𝗯𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗙𝗲𝗮𝘀𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗜𝗺𝗺𝗮𝗰𝘂𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗰𝗲𝗽𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 🌟 from Fr Greg

What does this beautiful celebration on 9 Dec mean for us? It reminds us that Mary, from the very first moment of her existence, was preserved from all stain of original sin by the extraordinary grace of God in view of Christ’s saving merits. She was “full of grace,” chosen to be the Mother of our Saviour, filled with divine life, and perfectly united with God’s will.

Mary’s unique role in salvation history and her perfect union with God make her the most powerful intercessor and example of faith and trust in God. She empathises with our struggles because she, too, faced challenges: from the flight into Egypt to standing at the foot of the cross—her unconditional “yes” to God inspires us to respond to His call in our own lives.

As Jesus’ Mother and our spiritual Mother, Mary’s unconditional love is a constant source of hope, love, and guidance. She always leads us closer to Christ, just as she did at the Wedding at Cana: “𝘋𝘰 𝘸𝘩𝘢𝘵𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘳 𝘏𝘦 𝘵𝘦𝘭𝘭𝘴 𝘺𝘰𝘶.”

Let’s turn to Mary with confidence, trusting in her help to face life’s challenges and to say “yes” to God’s will in our lives, just as she did. 𝒮𝒽𝒶𝓇ℯ 𝒾𝓃 𝓉𝒽ℯ 𝒸ℴ𝓂𝓂ℯ𝓃𝓉𝓈 𝒷ℯ𝓁ℴ𝓌 𝓉𝒽ℯ 𝒻𝒾𝓇𝓈𝓉 “𝓎ℯ𝓈” 𝓎ℴ𝓊 𝓈𝒶𝓎 𝒾𝓃 𝓉𝒽ℯ 𝓂ℴ𝓇𝓃𝒾𝓃ℊ!
