Actions speak louder than words. 🙏✨- $7,642 Raised for Cancer Support!
It is easy to sit on the sidelines and condemn, but true faith is defined by what you build, not what you try to tear down.
While some groups are quick to write press releases, but entirely absent when it comes to doing the hard work on the ground. Real leadership is earned through service, not self-appointed titles.
The public is well aware that those who spend their quality time criticising us have not achieved anything of substance themselves, nor have they supported the vital causes our community relies on.
We believe that energy spent tearing down others is energy stolen from serving humanity.
Our faith teaches us Seva which is selfless service and we don't just preach it, we live it. Our efforts reach far beyond our religious programs to actively uplift the wider, diverse community.
We are incredibly proud of what our dedicated temple family has achieved through direct, measurable action:
* $7,642 Raised for Cancer Support: ($3,427 online & $4,215 collected at Todays Breakfast) Putting our values into action by driving crucial funding for cancer research and patient care.
* $10,000 Donated to Beyond Blue - the Mental Health Foundation: Providing significant financial backing last year to support mental health resources for those facing their darkest times.
* Wider Community Integration: Delivering consistent aid, cultural unity, and grassroots support to our local neighbours, regardless of their background.
To those who choose to criticise,we challenge you to match our actions, get creative and redirect your energy into doing something impactful for society.
To our amazing SSDS youth group, volunteers, devotees and friends from all walks of life: Thank you for keeping the celebration, the service and the positivity alive. We will keep moving forward with our heads held high, letting our results do the talking.
