The Day Barabbas Was Set Free

The iron shackles bit into Barabbas's wrists as he waited in his cell. Tomorrow, he would die on a Roman cross. He was a murderer, a rebel—and he knew he deserved it.

But then the guard's footsteps stopped at his cell.

"You're free to go."

Barabbas stared in disbelief. "What? But I'm guilty. I killed a man. I—"

"I know what you did," the guard said coldly. "And I know what He did. Nothing. The Nazarene is taking your cross."

The Walk

Stumbling into the sunlight, Barabbas pushed through the crowds until he saw Him—a man bloodied and beaten, struggling under the weight of a wooden beam. *His* cross. The cross meant for Barabbas.

Their eyes met for just a moment.

In that brief glance, Barabbas saw no hatred. Only love. This Jesus was innocent—everyone knew it. Yet here He was, carrying the punishment that belonged to a guilty man.

"Why?" Barabbas whispered. "Why would You do this?"

That's Your Story Too

Barabbas was guilty. He deserved death. But someone else took his place.

That's the story of every human soul.

We've all sinned. We've all fallen short. We've all earned the wages of our rebellion against God—and those wages are death. Romans 6:23 says, *"For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord."*

But Jesus stepped in. He took your place. Every stripe on His back, every nail through His flesh—it was meant for you.

Why? Because He loves you desperately. Because you are worth it to Him. Because He doesn't want you to perish but to have everlasting life.

Today Is Your Day

Right now, the Holy Spirit is knocking on your heart. You don't have to carry your guilt, shame, or sin anymore. Jesus already carried it for you. He already paid your debt.

All you have to do is accept the gift.

**THE SALVATION PRAYER**

*"Dear Lord Jesus,*

*I come to You as a sinner in need of a Savior. I confess that I have sinned and fallen short of Your glory.*

*I believe You are the Son of God. I believe You died on the cross for my sins and rose again on the third day.*

*Today, I turn from my sins and turn to You. Forgive me, wash me clean, and come into my heart as my Lord and Savior.*

*I surrender my life to You. Make me new. Fill me with Your Holy Spirit.*

*Thank You for loving me. Thank You for dying for me. Thank You for setting me free.*

*In Jesus' name,*
*Amen."*

---

If you prayed that prayer and meant it, you are now a child of God! Your sins are forgiven. Your name is written in the Book of Life. You are free.

**It was for you He died. For you He rose again.**

**Now live in overwhelming gratitude for the One who took your place.** 🙌

**Glory to God!**

Title: “The Boy Who Decided to Walk Like a King”

There was once a young boy named Daniel who grew up in a small, quiet village.
Every morning, he would walk to school barefoot, carrying his books in a torn nylon bag. People often laughed at him.

“Nothing good can come from that boy,” they would whisper.
“His future is already written—small and ordinary.”

But Daniel believed something different.

One evening, while walking home, he paused to look at the sky.
He whispered a prayer:
“Lord, show me why You created me.”

In that moment, something shifted.

He remembered the Scripture his mother always read to him: “Let them have dominion…”
And Daniel made a strange decision that day:

He decided to start walking like a king.

Not because he was proud.
Not because he had anything.
But because he realized who his Father was.

So he woke up the next day and walked to school with his shoulders back, eyes lifted, and steps firm—as if angels were escorting him.

People noticed.
Teachers noticed.
Even the boys who mocked him noticed.

Daniel’s confidence made him study harder, think bigger, and dream wider.
He became the best student in his school.
He later got a scholarship…
Then another…
And eventually, he stood on a global stage addressing world leaders.

Someone once asked him,
“How did you rise from a barefoot village boy to standing before kings?”

He smiled and said:

“The day I discovered God’s purpose for me, I stopped walking like a victim and started walking like a king.”

Because true success is not about money.
It is not about fame.
It is simply about becoming who God created you to be.

And when you walk in purpose…
Doors open.
People rise to help you.
Destiny begins to speak your name.

So today I want to remind you:
You were created for dominion.
Walk like it.
Live like it.
Pray like it.
Work like it.
Because kings don’t wait for opportunities—they create them.

📖 “Until He’s Done With You…” — Genesis 28:15

Let’s pause and look closely at this verse.
God says, “I will not leave you until I have done what I have spoken to you.”

Notice that word — “until.”
It tells us something profound about how God works.

When God makes a promise, He commits Himself to the process.
He doesn’t withdraw when the path gets rough.
He doesn’t quit midway through your development.
He stays — intentionally, patiently, faithfully — until His purpose is complete.

That “until” marks a journey of transformation.
It reminds us that even in silent seasons, God is still active.
Even when doors close, He’s redirecting.
Even when it hurts, He’s refining.

So the next time you feel forgotten, remember:
You’re still in God’s “until.”
And when He’s done, what He produces through you will carry the mark of divine perfection.

🔥 He’s not finished with you yet. Stay steady, stay teachable, and stay faithful.
