The Ecumenical Franciscan Order (EFO) was established in Sydney on 13th July 2003, and now has Brothers and Sisters living under Vows in Britain as well as Australia.Though our Mother Church is Ecumenically Catholic, the Order herself is Ecumenically Protestant, our brothers and sisters are drawn from both Roman Catholic and Anglican traditions and also from those of Alternate Spiritual Pathways.

The EFO has no First, Second or Third Order distinctions or limitations. Service to God in an often fast moving world requires us to be responsive, adaptable, and always open to the guidance of the Holy Spirit.
