Father’s Day Celebration | 05/09/2026

“Keep trusting in God, keep turning up for others like your family, and keep growing your personal integrity. Because the world and our kids need men who have these superpowers: personal integrity and trust in God.” - Pr Frank Ropati

Last Sabbath, we celebrated the fathers, uncles, grandfathers, and fathers-to-be of FCC. From a hearty breakfast prepared by our youth and ladies to special cards and songs shared by our children, we felt the love! The cherry on top was Pr Frank’s prompts for our congregation to reflect on the superpowers our dads have and want them to have. We also reflected on Jesus’ earthly father, Joseph (Matthew 1:18-21, 24-25), who showed the importance of doing right for his child and remaining faithful.

Thank you to the fathers who lead, provide, and love us! How blessed are we to have such God-fearing men in our church.

The Sufferer and The Gospel | 15/08/2026

“God says to Job, ‘If I can keep the universe together, I can keep your life together no matter how disastrous your life may seem.’” - Pr Frank Ropati

Two Sabbaths ago, we delved into Part 6 of our Gospel series. This time we read through the book of Job, whose story we often remember when talking about suffering. Despite the overwhelming loss and accusations of wrongdoing from those around him, we saw how Job still came to God with his frustrations and pain, and even interceded for his friends. Even though Job never got the answers to his suffering, one thing was for sure: God called him to trust in Him anyway and promised to be with him through it all. His story also foreshadowed Jesus’ experience of suffering on our behalf and representing us to God. How intentional and wise is the God we serve!

As we close this Sabbath, ask yourself - what have you struggled to entrust to God? What will you change as we enter this new week?

Grace Copoceanu and Pr Eddy Johnson

A few Sabbaths ago, Grace Copoceanu and Pr Eddy Johnson from ADRA (Adventist Development & Relief Agency) Blacktown shared recent news and spoke about their mission. They reminded us that true Sabbath observance goes beyond going to church each Saturday (Ezekiel 16:49-50, Micah 6:2, Isaiah 1:12). Rather, it is living with and showing compassion in response to experiencing God’s mercy as sinners (Deuteronomy 6:5).

A gentle reminder that we are closed this Sabbath as it is the end of the month. If you’re coming to the Pathfinder and Adventurer camp this weekend, see you then! If not, then we encourage you to reflect on how you can applying Sabbath as a lifestyle to those around you who hunger, are lonely, or just need to encounter Jesus 🤲🏼

Three days left until our Women’s Ministry presents End It Now! We will be uniting with Seventh-Day Adventist churches worldwide in highlighting the ongoing issue of violence affecting women.

Joining us will be Erna Johnson, former Women’s Ministries Director of the South Pacific Division (SPD), Greater Sydney Conference, New Zealand Pacific Union Conference and more. For more than 20 years, Erna has served within Women’s Ministry and travelled the world to advocate against violence and abuse.

Come and be blessed as we unpack violence and abuse, and understand our role in this cause as Christ’s ambassadors.

Snapshots of our weekend in Katoomba! Amidst the chilly weather, our hearts were warm from hearing Bro. Chuck Arboleda’s messages about Jesus, singing praises, and immersing ourselves in God’s creation 🙏🏼🫂

Thank you to everyone who joined this year’s retreat! We pray that you were blessed and inspired to know Jesus more.

Fellowship didn’t end at the retreat! Our doors are open this Sabbath for more meaningful worship and community as we celebrate EndItNow.
