The Trust of the Called Out Ones | 13/06/2026

Last Sabbath, we had the privilege of celebrating Women’s Ministries Emphasis Day. We were joined by Dr Christiana Leimena-Lehn, the Director of Adventist Health Sydney and consultant at ELIA Wellness. Together, we learned about Gladys Aylward, the woman in Zarephath (1 Kings 17:9), Corrie ten Boom, and Marie Durand - four women who accepted God’s call despite facing discomfort and risking their lives. May we be as willing, hopeful, determined, and rooted in Christ in our own walks with Him.

Thank you to all our ladies at church who minister to us in all capacities: our church leaders, elders, deaconesses, Sabbath School teachers, mothers, sisters, and friends. We are so blessed to experience Christ’s love through you 🫶🏼

The Lawyer and the Gospel | 06/06/2026

Last Sabbath, we continued with our sermon series on the Gospel. This time, we read through Luke 10:25-37 with the well-known story of the Good Samaritan. However, we looked closer into the lawyer who had prompted Jesus to tell this parable in the first place. When he asked the question, “Teacher, what shall I do to inherit eternal life?” (v25), he had already missed the point.

The answer is there is nothing we can do to save ourselves and make it into heaven. If he had only listened to his own question, he would’ve realised that Jesus, Himself, was (and still is) the Way, the Truth, and the Life.

Back to the story of the Good Samaritan, we were also reminded that there is more beyond doing “all the right things”. What we are really called to do is to love God and to love as He does. We are to love our neighbours (everyone!) with an unconditional love.

Join us tomorrow as we continue explore what it means to accept God’s calling in our Women’s Ministries Emphasis Day program 🙏🏼
