What does it mean to truly live in the power of the gospel? ✨

Romans 1:1–17 — The Power of the Gospel

Romans 1:1–17 reminds us that the gospel is not something to admire from a distance—it is powerful, personal, and centred entirely on Jesus.

Paul shows us that Jesus alone has the perfect righteousness we need. When we see God’s holiness against the reality of our sin, we recognise that we cannot meet His standards or save ourselves. But through faith in Christ, we are clothed in His perfect righteousness.

The gospel is also for everyone, regardless of culture, background, or social status. When we truly understand its power, it transforms our lives, strengthens our faith, and moves us to share the same hope with others.

Divisions
Paul’s Calling from God — Romans 1:1–7
Paul’s Commitment to Rome — Romans 1:8–15
Paul’s Confidence in the Gospel — Romans 1:16–17

Principles
God sets believers apart for the gospel and calls them to belong to Him.
God compels believers to strengthen others through the gospel.
God gives believers confidence to proclaim the saving power of the gospel.

Through Paul’s teaching, we see how God’s grace declares us righteous through faith—not through our works—and how that same grace gives us the hope and power to overcome sin, share the Gospel boldly, and live transformed lives.

The Book of Romans is filled with rich truths about the Gospel and what it means to live as followers of Christ. Through Paul’s teaching, we are reminded that God’s grace declares us righteous through faith—not through our works—and that His grace gives us the hope and power to overcome sin, share the Gospel boldly, and live transformed lives.

This year, join us as we journey through Romans in three parts:
