Team JESUS - Sydney

Team JESUS - Sydney The Word became flesh and dwelt among us. We have seen His glory, as of the only Son of God, full of Grace and Truth. (John 1) Praise be to God always.

Our team of volunteers will spare no effort and expense to attend and satisfy the needs of the homeless and needy people on the streets, mainly in the western suburbs of Sydney and Inner west and Woolloomooloo. Our aim is to supply their personal needs in terms of food, drinks and clothing, bedding and other hygienic and personal items. But our service extends to providing our brothers and sisters

the homeless with temporary housing, furniture, medications, medical attention and monitoring. In certain cases, and whenever possible, we also assist in finding work for those who require a job and are fit mentally and physically to do the work that they can perform. In addition to the above services, we attend to their psychological and emotional wellbeing and intervene skillfully in suicide prevention and mental disorders as such conditions come to our attention. Our objective is to help the homeless, the needy and the desolate regain their dignity and social status. In our efforts to better the lives of these people, we don't rely on ourselves, but we utilise our skills and rely on the power of God to work through us. Jesus Christ is our Lord, our Shepherd and our divine redeemer.

_ What do you get by praying to God regularly?

She replied:
_ I generally "I don't gain anything", but "I lose things."

And he quoted everything he lost by praying to God regularly:
_ I lost my pride.
_ I lost the arrogance.
_ I lost the greed
_ I lost the envy.
_ I lost my anger
_ I lost the lust.
_ I lost the pleasure of lying
_ I lost the taste for sin.
_ I lost impatience, desperation and discouragement.

Sometimes we pray, not to gain something, but to lose things that don't allow us to grow spiritually.

Prayer educates, strengthens and heals.
Prayer is the channel that connects us directly to God.

Hi all
as the war in Ukraine is still raging on, people are being injured, maimed and killed and the war in Yemen is still going on. I thought tonight and for this week we can pray for all those who are suffering or in pain or who are going to have a medical operation and also especially for anyone here in Australia people we know and don't know. Let us this week offer up our prayers for the sick and dying in Jesus name 🙏🙏
I pray for Ironia Vallis and for my sisters friends dad a loving father of 4 they asked for not to mention his name, but we can still offer our prayers and please list anyone else whom you want others to pray for.

Please let us keep all the people of Ukraine in our prayers, there is a lot of people who are scared and worried for their life. 🇺🇦🙏

Dear friends, as the world watches with horror the events unfolding in Ukraine, I urge you to unite in prayer for the safety of the people in Ukraine at this time.

Next week we begin the holy season of Lent, a time when we traditionally give-up or abstain from certain things, which we can also offer up for the good of others.

Almsgiving when combined with prayer, fasting and abstinence is especially powerful in the fight against evil. On Ash Wednesday, Pope Francis has asked us in a special way to dedicate ourselves to prayer and fasting for Ukraine and I ask you to do the same.

Let us pray through the intercession of Mary Queen of Peace for the people of Ukraine and all Ukrainian-Australians anxious about the welfare of friends and relatives back home. Mary, Queen of Peace, pray for us!

We will be serving every Friday night 6pm @30 First Avenue Blacktown.
