“Never see a need without doing something about it.” – St Mary MacKillop.

Today, on the Feast of St Mary of the Cross MacKillop, our school communities are bringing these words to life.

Many students and families have taken time to reflect on the needs around them and are raising funds for CatholicCare - Diocese of Broken Bay Mary Mac’s Place in Woy Woy and Dom’s Place in Hornsby.

A beautiful example of faith in action.

NAIDOC Week - 5 -12 July

This week we celebrate NAIDOC Week, an opportunity to celebrate and recognise the histories, cultures, achievements, and enduring contributions of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.

This year's theme, Fifty Years of Deadly, celebrates five decades of strength, leadership, resilience, and community. It honours the Elders, advocates, artists, storytellers, and communities whose voices and vision continue to shape the future.

We invite our families to join in celebrating NAIDOC Week by attending local community events, listening to First Nations voices, and taking time to learn more about the stories, cultures, and histories that continue to shape our shared future.

Introducing the Holy Cross Wellbeing Wagon

Created to support student wellbeing and belonging during break times, the Wellbeing Wagon provides a welcoming space where students can enjoy creative, calming and social activities at recess and lunch.

Stocked with games, construction toys, puppets, chalk, skipping ropes, explorer kits and more, the wagon offers meaningful play opportunities for all students. Our Year 6 volunteers also play a key role, supporting younger students and modelling positive social interactions.

Since its introduction, we've seen increased engagement in play, stronger peer connections, greater confidence and inclusion, and valuable leadership growth among our senior students.

The Wellbeing Wagon is creating meaningful opportunities for students to connect, play, and feel a strong sense of belonging.
