Today Wednesday, 27th May, Jennifer Hou joins us for a recital of the piano across cultures and eras at our 1:15pm Lunchtime Concert, from Prokofiev’s introspective lyricism to Scriabin’s passionate intensity. Tomorrow, Wednesday 20 May, as part of our St James lunchtime concert series, we are delighted to welcome back the NSW Police Band Wind Quintet for a program featuring two contrasting masterpieces of early 20th-century ensemble music, pairing the fairy-tale colours of Russian folklore by Anatol Liadov with the charming, characterful virtuosity of a Danish work by Carl Nielsen. Join us for 45 minutes of musical escape over your lunch break in Sydney, performed by one of NSW’s finest wind ensembles.
