Sydney International Christian Church Every Sunday @ 10am
377 Sussex St in Sydney CBD What We Believe...

We are the Sydney International Christian Church. Jesus must be the Lord of our lives.

We are a part of a world-wide movement of SoldOut Disciples with the vision to evangelize the nations in this generation. Our goal is to be a church full of disciples that love God with all of our heart, soul, mind and strength and that love each other just as Jesus loved us. (Matt 22:37-40, Jn 13:34-35)
We want to lead the way in laying down our lives for each other and emphasize the need for eve

ry disciple to be a committed servant in the body of Christ (1 Jn 3:16, Mk 10:43-45). We want to reach out within our community and share our faith, so that through us, God can make disciples of all the nations living around us (Matt 28:18-20) and bring them into a loving, serving and maturing body of Christ (Eph 4:11-16). WORSHIP – The primary function of the family of God is to be a worshiping community in attitude and lifestyle (Matt 4:10, Jn 4:23-24, Rom 12:1-2). In our worship services we want to experience the presence of God as we express honor, gratitude, awe, humility and brokenness before Him. Our walk with God should be a daily and consistent focus. HOLINESS – A desire to be like Him should flow from effective worship. God desires us to come out and be separate so we can show the world his holiness (Lev 11:45, 1 Th 4:7). We believe holiness is bigger than just avoiding sin & should focus on developing a taste and passion for God and a hunger for righteousness. FAMILY – We believe that Christianity is a one-another religion. We are the family of God! We share a common faith, common blood and a common love for God and each other. Our commitment is to love, forgive, encourage, serve, lay down our lives, and to share our possessions and our hearts with each other (Rom 12, 1 Cor 12, Gal 5:13-26). DISCIPLING – We are committed, not to only baptizing people into Christ (Acts 2:38, Eph 4:1-7) but to growing, training and equipping disciples for kingdom-life (Eph 4:11-16). We recognize the biblical mandate to help each other grow and we continue to believe in accountability, seeking and giving biblical advice (Proverbs) and corporate prayer. SERVING – Our church is a church built on the biblical concept of ministering to the world’s hurts and needs. Jesus’ goal in life was to give up his life for others (Jn 12:24-26). The servant-heart of sacrifice – showing concern for others and a willingness to give up time and money – is deeply rooted in OT and NT themes. EVANGELISM – We are committed to testify to the world that Jesus is our Lord and Savior (1 Pet 2:9-10; 1 Pet 3:15). Evangelism should be personal and natural. We will provide small groups as well as larger meetings to encourage a deep commitment to sharing the good news. BENEVOLENCE – We are committed to making a difference in our world around us. Jesus taught that his followers are the salt, light, and leaven in a world that needs to elevate its morals and standards (Matt 5:13-16). We want to influence our neighbors through marriage help, child-rearing classes, generosity, meals, adoptions, helping widows and orphans, the poor and sick both in our community and in our world.

🔥 ANOTHER ONE FOR THE KINGDOM! 🔥

Yesterday, a 20-year-old student from Uganda studying at Macquarie University made Jesus his Lord and Saviour! ❤️

It all started when he encountered a sister putting up a poster that simply read: “SEEK GOD.”

He stopped. He initiated the conversation. And from that moment, he decided to genuinely seek Him — asking questions and wanting to know more about the Bible study group on campus. 📖

He wrestled with Scripture. He wrestled with the truth. And, most importantly, he humbled himself before the Word of God.

And yesterday, that seeking led him to a life-changing decision: Making Jesus His Lord. 🙏

Welcome to the family, brother! 🎉

Sunday moments!! ✨
And a new member joining the fellowship — welcome, Stephen!! 🤗

Stephen has come to us from our sister church in Brisbane, and we’re so excited to have him join us here! So grateful for the way God continues to bring people together, and we can’t wait to see all that God will do through him in this fellowship. 🙏❤️

So grateful to have the Word preached and to continue growing together in fellowship.

Hope to see you all at the fellowship tonight at our midweek service! ☺️

Sunday hits different when you’re ALL IN! 🔥

Surrendering to God doesn’t mean a boring life—it means an adventure. Storms, victories, plot twists, and everything in between.

Jesus isn’t asking for a Sunday-only commitment. He wants ALL of you.

No half-in. No spectators. Just surrender. 🤍

So… what are you still holding back? 👀

WHAT A WEEKEND! ✨🙌

To see another beautiful soul added to the kingdom of God this past Sunday was definitely a highlight of the week! 🔥

Our new sister is an Aussie born and raised in the western suburbs, but was met as a first year student at UNSW. She started believing in Jesus after watching many christian reels on TikTok during COVID and has been trying to figure out discipleship on her own since then. She had been praying for God to send her people to strengthen her in her Christian walk when our sister Ysa approached her on campus and invited her to a Bible study. Since she had finished reading the Bible at the age of 14, she understood many biblical concepts but struggled to apply them in her life; she humbly accepted the truth that she had never lived like a disciple and was baptized on Sunday!

DM us for an opportunity to study the Bible and to know how to have a real relationship with God and how to live like a true disciple! 🤍

SUNDAY MOMENTS ✨

We love to see the fellowshipping and the word being preached!! Main takeaway from Alistair’s lesson was:

God is the God of ALL comfort. 🤍 Just as He is described in: 2 Corinthians 1:3 “Praise be to the God and Father of our LordJesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort-“

When your mind is on what God says, comfort and
encouragement is the end result…. (Psalm 23:4).

Congratulations to our incredible brother Mark, as God blesses him with the desires of his heart. On Sunday, he asked Ysa to be his girlfriend, and we’re so excited to see what God does through you both. 🙌✨

THRILLA IN MANILA 🔥🥊🇵🇭

What a conference. 🙌

One of the coolest moments was hearing God’s Word preached from a boxing ring—a reminder that as disciples, we’re all in a spiritual fight every single day. It was such a creative way to bring to life the call to keep fighting the good fight of faith. 🥊

It was also so special to experience the incredible cultures represented throughout the conference. From the performances to simply spending time together, it was a beautiful reminder that God’s family is made up of every nation, language, and people—all united by Christ. ❤️🌏

So grateful for the friendships, the fellowship, the powerful lessons, and the memories we’ll be talking about for a long time. Manila, thank you for an unforgettable conference! 🔥
