1. God has given fathers the responsibility of being His representative to the family.
a) God has given Dads the obligation of seeking to Reconcile your family to God.

2. In the Bible, fathers have always fulfilled a priestly Role even if they weren't specifically called priests.

3. The one priestly function that fathers still need to perform is to make Request for their family in prayer.

4. Before you can be effective as your family's priest, make sure you are firstly, Right with God yourself.

a. Was it the Substance of Christianity that the Christian began with? or
b. Was it the foundation of Judaism, which of course is what Christianity was Set up upon?

2. The writer wants his readers to move from the Shadows of ritual to the reality of Christ.
a. Dead works represents the efforts connected with the earthly Sanctuary.
b. Throughout Scripture, salvation from the penalty of sin is always by faith in God.
c. Judaism had Several types of baptisms.
d. Laying on of hands Symbolized identification.
e. The doctrine of resurrection was Subdued and not as clear as the New Testament teaching.
f. Of eternal judgment, the Same could be said.

3. The Supreme knot in the chapter.
a. The writer is warning saved readers about the possibility of losing their Salvation.
b. The writer is addressing professors of the Christian life who were not Sincere believers.
c. This was a sin that could only be committed by first century Christians, while the temple Services continued.
d. The writer is describing a Speculative case to prove that a believer cannot possibly lose eternal life.
e. The writer didn't say it was impossible for certain people to be brought to repentance, only that they could not be brought to repentance while they were treating (present tense) Jesus Christ in a Shameful way.
f. A warning is given of the danger of a Christian moving from a position of true faith to become disqualified from further Service and inheriting Millennial reward.

1. There is a great harvest that has to be gathered by a Certain time.
2. There is a Continuing need to recruit more labourers into the harvest as the harvest itself is growing.
3. The Closer it got to the end of the harvest, the more generous the Householder was willing to be in providing for His labourers.

1. Not all truth can be Digested at any time in our spiritual development.
a. Sometimes human tradition stands in the way of accepting what Bible Doctrine says.
b. The believer may be Defying God's rule over them and not be open to the Spirit's illuminating ministry.
i. If we don't have a willingness to do God's will, our perception of truth will be Distorted.
ii. Truth is spiritually Discerned.
c. They haven't Deferred their opinion to God's Word.
i. In studying the Word of God, we must sometimes Dismiss from our minds what we've previously been taught.
d. Dullness of hearing prevents understanding of more complex teaching.

2. Teaching is not just the Duty of those who are gifted to teach or preach from a pulpit.
a. Discipleship requires us not only to know teaching but to teach.

3. Knowing leads to Doing, and Doing leads to Knowing.

4. He did not Seek this position for Himself, but was Summoned by the Father to partake of this honour.
5. He was Seen in the Psalms to fulfil this office.
6. He is Suitable as a High Priest by right of His efficacious sacrifice and resulting salvation out of death.
7. He is the Source of our eternal salvation.
