We are very excited to share with you our latest Video project that promotes the amazing work that Clubs do throughout NSW to support our communities

Since 2022 , Wests Macarthur and have been supporting the First Responder Community through their support of Beyond the Badge. To put it bluntly, without the support of these and other clubs that work with us, ours and many other charities would not be here today.

In this video you will here from the clubs CEO's, Michael Lavorato, Daniel Perkiss and Glenn Cushion GAICD who talk about how and why they support so many charities, schools and sporting clubs in Western Sydney.

We also here from an amazing former NSW Police Detective, who through the support of the clubs, attended a Beyond The Badge Career Transition Program back in 2022 and has been smashing the world of work ever since after gaining employment shortly after the program

Well what can I say - except Another Brilliant two days at running our Beyond the Badge 2 Day Career Transition Program for first responders.

We had 13 Current, Transitioning and Former NSW Police Force officers with us for the 2 days to gain an understanding and explore what the future might look like after their service. Many of our participants are forced to leave the job they love due to physical and or mental heath reasons and we have been supporting them for the past 8 years now and absolutely love our 2 days that we get to spend amongst them.

Huge THANK YOU to both Mingara Leisure Group and Gosford RSL Club for the support you have provided your local first responder community through your generous Club Grants

However, it is not only the Grant, but the support, care and generous time you always give us when we come to the club.

Thank you Sarah Ferman for your continued support and for lending us some of your amazing people to help welcome and inspire our group on Day 1.
Philip Walker We love you mate - for what you do now and the service you have provided over the years as a Detective keeping our community safe. Thank you for your belief in us

“Trigger Warning ”Two weeks into his policing career, Jason Semple was on a night out with a couple of colleagues when two of them were stabbed by a male person who was attempting to sell them drugs. Jason was in a critical condition but survived, Peter Forsyth, who was tending to Peters wounds sadly did not.
This event shaped Jason's career and he went on to perform in many high-risk teams across multiple agencies in Australia and abroad.
This podcast focuses on Jason’s career choices, his strength, resilience and his eventual transition into the private sector. It is an inspiring story that needs 2 episodes to do it justice.

I had a fantastic day with some OK golf and lots of laughs with my team.

It has been an enormous week for Beyond the Badge this week with our 2 Day Career Transition Program for First Responders conducted in Port Macquarie. Big THANK YOU to .portmacquarie for you sponsorship and support of the program. The program was opened by Operations Manager Paul Matic and People and Culture Leader Melissa Caruso. Your understanding and insights were such an important part of our Day 1 session and you made our 12 current and former Police officers feel relaxed and welcome. Thank you to John Fearnley and Fleur Harvey for having us and looking after our crew over the two days.

It was also a privilege to welcome back a former program participant Debra Nelson who has done some amazing things since we first met her in 2021. Deb gave up her time to address the team and provide her experience from a difficult transition out of NSW Police Force to her first, second and now current role as a senior manager with Transport for NSW. THANK YOU Deb - your words were so inspiring and a big hit.
