Happy Sunday! Before we start this beautiful morning, let's take a moment to reflect on last Sunday's preaching.
03 May 2026
Preacher: Sis. Christine Cañadido
Main Text: Hebrews 11:1–40
📚 Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. Our hope is built of faith.
Faith is the stuff for which our hope is made of.
🧠 Hope is like the molecule and Faith is the atom
It is an assurance that is based on evidence.
🙏 Unseen things like air/wind are proven by our faith because we are certain of their existence
🙏 Biblical faith believes that the firm evidence written in the bible is supplied by God

📖 Hebrews 11:3 - By faith we understand that the world was framed by the Word of God.
- By faith we understand, through faith we come into a super natural understanding that all of creations from the beginning of creation up to the end of eternity is created by the word of God.
📖 Rhema of God - the word of God that He spoke and it is dynamic and living; it moves and has a life, not just a collection of letters but a breathe of God that actually changes and creates things.
- Faith gives us the ability to comprehend. We believe that God's word is true, that the tangible cosmos/universe that we exist in not made out of what already exist but is made of what is unseen for us.
📖 Examples: Creation Scientists
- they believe that if you based your scientific research on what the bible says you will have more comprehensive understanding of how the universe works.
- Isaac Newton: "This most beautiful system of the sun, planets and comets, could only proceed from the counsel and dominion of an intelligent Being. This Being governs all things, not as the soul of the world, but as the Lord over all; the supreme God is a being eternal , infinite and absolutely perfect.
- Dmitri Mendeleev: had a dream and revelation of God of order, who is in control of creation. He is able to hypothesize that there is an order in the elements (periodic table of elements)
📖 We as a church is not only isolated in the church. Our faith speaks not only in spiritual matters but in economics, in politics, in science, in every aspects of daily living.

🔥 These people only see the shadow of the promise that is to come but their faith sustained them until the end.
The greatest reward: God is not ashamed to be called their God.
🌿 When God sees your faith, suffering, sacrifices, rejections, doubts we have to overcome, victory that we get through our faith, every wall that we breakdown, every attack that we conquer. He sees all that and says that He is not afraid to be called our God and He has prepared a city for us.

Hebrews 12:1-2
🔥 We have a full hall of faithful witness, named and unnamed, they endured every kind of sufferings. They are already at the finish line, just waiting for the day of rapture. The story of their lives are the cheerleading that we hear as we ran the race. It is the encouragement that we hear as we continue to run.
🌿 If their lives are not enough just look at the biggest encourager... JESUS ✝️
- He is at the end of the finish line. He started the run and finish the run.
🌟 Encouragement:
- Let us run and not allow the bo***ge of sin to stop us. We may stumble and fall but rise up again and run. If we see our brothers and sisters falling, let us pick them up and run together.
- Let us aim to be a part of the cloud of witnesses. So when it's time for the next generation to run the race, we are there at the side of the race track and see our lives that we have also endures and kept the faith.
- We are pilgrims on the journey of a narrow road, and those who were before us they line the way. And those who are behind us, are still growing and still figuring out how the race works. Let us show them how it's done
📜 Let’s be faithful because our God is faithful.
The race is not never ending, it has an end and at the end there is our Lord who is to come and ready to say that He is not ashamed to be our God and will say " Welcome, my good and faithful servant" 🏆 🙏
