Hello my dear YSA community, hope that everyone is going and keeping well over lockdown which is going to finish soon for good by the looks of it.
Today is the 26. September, and while this seems to be just another sabbath day that we have to celebrate online and at home, it marks a very important and significant date for me.
It’s been exactly to the day one year since my baptism in the Greenwich chapel and I just feel like sharing my life experiences and changes that have occurred within me in that time.
So firstly let me thank all of my ward family and members and missionaries that were there for me as well as witnessing the change in me.

You were nothing but magnificent over that time, I hope that your mission is bringing you the change and joy you were looking for, it definitely touched my life.
There were many other missionaries and people that were amazing too, apologies if I didn’t mention you, it’s just too many good people to list 😅
Also, Richard Cutler, thank you very much for being an awesome and supportive friend over the time I hope that I can return the favours in the coming time, I’m glad that you are part of my life.
I remember right after being baptised, I felt cleansed and fresh, it was like my mind was being released of a heavy burden and weight.
Lots of things started to change after that pretty much immediately.
Once I started to pay tithing right after my baptism for the first time in my life, which in all honesty is inconvenient and a sacrifice by design, the next week I was getting approached by a friend of my hairdresser to build a deck privately.
So I’m a carpenter and construction management student at uni, however at this time I was in the 4th-Year of my apprenticeship and didn’t get to do any private work until then nor did my boss at that time really encourage so for businesses reasons I guess.
With lots of dedication from my end and little support from others in the evenings and Saturday’s the job got quoted, sold, delivered and constructed successfully by myself only and with the guidance of Heavenly Father of course. I got payed in full by probably the most picky client there is on this planet.
Not only was that a huge confidence boost, it has shown me that with the law of tithing the blessings that were promised started to become a reality THE NEXT WEEK.
The following weeks and months were nothing short but a cascade of private job offerings, quotes and more business from all aspects possible. I am now working for the biggest carpentry subcontractor in the Southern Hemisphere at a very good rate!
I was merely getting by one year ago, given that I was still an apprentice and uni student and responsible for all bills by myself fully since my family is overseas and I had to establish myself in the truest sense of the word.
That has changed now in a way I still can’t believe to be honest, I’m truly blessed to have known all these wonderful people that were supporting me along the way, I will never forget it.
It was a freak coincidence that has led me to the church and it is my pure joy and will to stay in the church and keep on changing for the better, I know that things are going to become even more better, tithing is just one aspect of the gospel and there will be so many more blessing to follow suit.
Thanks again everyone for reading this, I hope it helps you to reinforce your faith in Jesus Christ and Heavenly Father, if you liked this testimony good, my calling is being the social media rep of the YSA group so stay tuned for more to follow soon 🙂
Also a special shout out to Bishop Tj Chandler he is the best and greatest bishop one could wish for in my opinion, in saying that he is the July bishop I ever had too 😂
A lovely remaining sabbath day and successful coming week I’d like to wish everyone, just as I would like to testify that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is true, the blessings are Devine and the prayers in the name of Jesus Christ.
Amen
