And so, another MiMS Trivia Night is complete! Whether it was battling it out during each trivia round or enjoying ice cream, the night was full of barakah and enjoyment, and we were delighted to share it with you all. 2026 marks the first year that UNSW students will not complain about a rigged game!

An important reminder that our Wheelchairs for Gaza campaign with PennyAppeal is still running until the end of August! We succeeded in raising $1453 during our power hour on the night, and all of our ticket sales from this event will also be going to the fundraiser inshaAllah 🧡!

And so, another MiMS Trivia Night is complete! Whether it was battling it out during each trivia round or playing high-stakes games of clue race and imposter, the night was full of barakah and enjoyment, and we were delighted to share it with you all. 2026 marks the first year that UNSW students will not complain about a rigged game!

Muslims in Medical School (MiMS) presents … our first ever Community Health Hub🏥🩺!

The beloved Prophet ﷺ (pbuh) has said “There is a cure for every disease. Whenever an illness is treated with its right remedy, it will by Allah’s permission, be cured.” (Sahih Muslim).

Run by Muslim medical students and doctors, MiMS Community Health Hub is an exciting new and FREE initiative to educate YOU on how to prevent and manage diabetes, high blood pressure, high cholesterol and other heart-related diseases!

We will be offering FREE:
•⁠ ⁠Blood pressure screening/testing 🩺🫀
•⁠ ⁠Blood glucose testing 💉🍬
•⁠ ⁠Workshops on heart-related diseases and diabetes (at 11:15am, 12:15pm, 1:15pm, 2:15pm)🌏
•⁠ ⁠Healthy meal planning stalls 🥗📋

Come along, or bring along a family member to help fulfil the amanah of upholding your health and wellbeing!

Seeking a rewarding opportunity to give back for the sake of Allah?

Join us by using your clinical skills to serve the Ummah in educating and empowering our Muslim community with the knowledge and confidence to help them make informed decisions about their health 🩺

At MiMS Community Health Hub, volunteers will have the opportunity to assist with:
-Blood pressure screening
-Blood glucose testing
-Interactive presentations on cardiovascular disease and diabetes
-Healthy meal planning stalls

👥 Who: Medical students, dental students, allied health students, and doctors.
📍 Where: Gallipoli Youth Centre (next to Gallipoli Mosque)
📅 When: Saturday 25th July
🕘 Time: 9:30 am – 3:00 pm

Grab your (smartest) friends and get ready to battle it out at MiMS Trivia Night 2026! 🎉

Whether you have a team ready to go or are keen to make new friends, come along for an evening of competition and fun!

Alhamdulillah, what a night 🤲.

Our screening of .film brought our community together for an evening we won’t forget 🎬.

JazakAllahu Khairan to our panel, , , and for sharing insights that left the whole room moved. The honesty and depth you brought to the conversation meant so much to everyone in attendance.

This event was proudly in partnership with ‘s Wheelchairs for Gaza campaign, which is still running until our next event, so there’s still time to get involved and support this incredible cause at the link in our bio 🧡.

We were also so grateful to have ☕️ and .au 🥤serving up incredible beverages on the night, alongside for dishing up authentic Palestinian flavours ✨

Healthcare means more than treatment. It means giving people the dignity and independence to fully participate in life 💫

Right now in Gaza, tens of thousands of people are living with life-changing injuries and no access to even the most basic mobility aids. A wheelchair can be the difference between being confined to a room and being able to return to school, get to medical care, and be part of a community again.

That’s why Muslims in Medical School is fundraising for wheelchairs in Gaza, in partnership with , who identify those with the greatest need and deliver mobility aids directly to them.

🎯 Our goal: sponsor 15 wheelchairs
💰 Each wheelchair costs $850
📅 This campaign runs until our next event. Every donation between now and then gets us closer to 15

As healthcare professionals and members of the Muslim community, we’re guided by compassion, justice, and service. Help us make sure people living with disability in Gaza are not left behind.
