Desire
The word covet means a strong desire. The Lord said that He is going to re-shuffle our lives so we can get our life in priority. He is going to change our desires. Some of us think that our desires are of God and they are not. We don't understand the scriptures. Our revelation and interpretation doesn't mean that it lines up with the word of God. We need to be humble enough to admit that our revelation can be wrong. Even great men and women of God get things wrong and we need to be humble enough to admit it. Just because God comes into your prayer time, it doesn't mean that He approves of the things that you say or do. Godās presence in your life doesn't mean that you are right. Even when you are off track, God is still with you. God was still with Jonah even when he rebelled. Don't measure the amount of revelation that you have that you are correct. You need to measure it with the word of God and with 2-3 reputable witnesses. You need to be careful that you don't accumulate information according to your desire. God has given us desires. Desire is very powerful and what destroyed Adam and Eve was desire but desire also works for god. God gives you desires but the enemy perverts it. We will see how misleading desires are in our lives and yet how desire can also lead you to God. Before you get the promise, there will always be the counterfeit. Desire often starts with the eye. The gift opens the door but it doesn't mean that your character can handle it. God will not stop you doing anything. Just because there is an open door, it doesn't mean it is of God. The word is powerful and there is a voice in everything and the only truth is the word of God. A mature Christian always sees the sacrifice they need to make and how it blesses others and sees the purpose in it. An immature Christian looks at how it is blessing them and what they can get from it. When you are sleeping you donāt desire anything. Adam was put to sleep and was totally unaware of a woman. When you are asleep, there is no desire to eat, drink or do anything. Just because you meet someone, do you want to marry them for their personality or for their purpose? Be careful to choose your partner wisely.
