The Friars of St Francis have come to St John the Baptist Parish! They recently moved from St Bernadette's, Dundas Valley, in the Parramatta Diocese, and began the pastoral care of St John the Baptist in Bonnyrigg Heights in the Archdiocese of Sydney. The Friars of St Francis are a reform community of Franciscans that began in 1993 with Fr Christopher FSF, and has since grown into a community of six friars. Fr Christopher FSF is the new Parish Priest, alongside Fr Ruben FSF and Fr Benedict FSF, who are assistant priests. The friars are happy at their new appointment, which is one of the largest Catholic parishes in NSW.
