CHRISTMAS ✨

Luke 2:10 - “And the angel said to them, “Fear not, for behold, I bring you good news of great joy that will be for all the people.”

This Christmas season, join us for the first four Sundays of December, as we journey through Luke 1-2 and rediscover the incredible story of God’s love breaking into our world.

From angelic announcements to humble beginnings, each passage invites us to marvel at Jesus - the Saviour who brings joy to all people 🙌🏻

LATEST SERMON SERIES 💫

The Ten Commandments are arguably the most famous and influential moral code known to humanity. We might know *about* them, but do we truly *know* them? Can we even name them?

Often seen as burdensome or outdated, these ancient Words are, in fact, life-giving words that speak directly to our everyday lives.

Please join us as we continue to unpack each of the Ten Words God gave His people, as we continue to ‘Seek First the Kingdom’ together as a church 🙌🏻

WE ARE MOVING 🙌🏻

It has already been just over a year since Kingsway moved to Oatlands Public School, and by God’s grace, we have truly outgrown this location!

The new location is Ermington West Public School and the first Sunday we will be holding our service there is 8th September.

As we wrap up our stay at Oatlands, let’s remember to give thanks to God for His providence and for His steadfast love for Kingsway 🙏🏻💜

The biggest annual event for Kingsway is coming up later this month.

We will be spending the weekend at Collaroy to hear and learn what God has on His heart for Kingsway.

NEW SERMON SERIES 💫

“What is a Christian”

Never before has our culture been so confused with truth. Definitions about identity and sexuality that were once universally acknowledged are now challenged and even worse, redefined.

What was true for all, has been replaced with live ‘your’ truth. While Christians often reject this unfortunate and concerning turn for our culture, we are not immune.

Ask two people who consider themselves Christian what this means, and you might get two different and sometimes opposing responses - and this is a problem. In these next four weeks, we are looking to come to a unified, biblical definition of what it means to be a Christian.

Please join us as we seek to establish the truth of what a Christian is meant to be, so that we can live out this identity that is so precious and central to us 🙏🏻

THE UPSIDE-DOWN KING: THE BEATITUDES 🙌🏻

We all want to feel ‘blessed’. We see Social Media posts of people living their best life, talking about how blessed they are. We want that, and feel like we’re missing out when we’re not.

But is that how Jesus defines the blessed life? It may surprise you to learn that the true blessedness according to Jesus looks nothing like this. In fact, it looks completely opposite. It looks upside-down!

Please join us to hear about Jesus’ accomplishments on the cross and learn about how the empty tomb marked the beginning of the greatest redemption story for all mankind.

Secrets of the Kingdom: from the Parables of Jesus ✨  “Jesus told stories [called parables]…. [But] they were, for the most part, not simply ‘illustrations,’ that is, preacher tricks to decorate an abstract thought or complicated teaching. If anything, they were the opposite. Jesus’ stories are designed to tease, to clothe the shocking and revolutionary message about God’s Kingdom in garb that would leave the listeners wondering, trying to think it out…. Whatever the parables are, they are not, as children are sometimes taught in Sunday school, ‘earthly stories with heavenly meaning.’ Rather, they are expressions of Jesus’ shocking announcement that God’s Kingdom was arriving on earth as in heaven.”

The new series will look to unpack the Kingdom that we are to seek from the Parables that Jesus taught in the Gospels.

✷ Summer Psalms ✷

Join us for the next four weeks as we close out the year and dive into the next by looking at the Psalms!

John Calvin once said that the book of Psalms is An Anatomy of the soul - there is not an emotion of which anyone can be conscious of that is not represented here: joy, hope, sorrows, fears, doubts - all of it (and more!) are found in this book of the bible.

We are starting a new series this Sunday, and it will be all about unpacking one of the greatest promises God has made with His people.

We will be delving into the Old Testament to find glimpses of His promises in the book of Isaiah.
