Loving Lord, we give you praise!
Since our formation we have been changing,
but Christ has been our foundation
and Your presence is constant O God.
We live in an ever-changing world.
Our Church is in flux too.
Even as we seek the way to go,
you are always with us.

Awaken our spirit!
Stir our hearts and minds.
Ready us to follow your call,
wherever it may lead.

Help us leave behind any pain of the past.
Replace the old, tired
and disappointed ways of our heart.
Restore us with your grace and strength,
fill us with new blessings of joy and peace.
We pray in Jesus name, Amen.

Out of the depths we cry to you,
O God of our weary bones.
Make haste, come and breathe life into us.

Out of the wilderness places we cry to you,
O God of our lost hopes and dreamings.
Unbind us and let us go.

Lead us on,
lead us into life,
into communion,
O God of our ancestors and our grandchildren,
Make haste, come and breathe life into us.
Unbind us and let us go. Amen. Christ is with us.

Great Bunji God,
you sent your Son Jesus
to be our Saviour, our Guide and our Friend.
At the dawn of this new day
we pray for strength to follow in his steps,
and to be true witnesses for him
among our people who love the great earth mother,
your gift to them from the dreamtime.
We pray for all people of all countries,
that they may become one great family
with Jesus as Saviour.
As we come to the evening of this day,
may we go to our rest in the quiet hours of the night
knowing that, in spite of our weakness,
we have truly walked with Jesus.
This prayer we offer in the name of Jesus,
our Good Friend.
Aralba. (I have spoken from my heart.)

O God who knows us in our weakness
and befriends us in our chaos,
free me from hate and fear;
turn pain and anger into tools for healing;
open the door to reconciliation
between friends and neighbours,
between nations and peoples,
that your truth may reign among us,
and your peace welcome us home.

Spirit of God brooding over
the waters of our chaos,
inspire us to generous living.

Wind of God dancing over
the desert of our reluctance,
lead us to the oasis of celebration.

Breath of God inspiring understanding
among strangers and friends,
make us channels of your peace.

God who is known and unknown,
describable and indescribable,
Three and One,
holy and close,
wild and good

You meet us in times and places that are
thin and thick,
light and heavy,
familiar and unfamiliar,
in sunlight and in shadow

You are with us when things are
still and busy,
slow and hasty,
old and new,
open and closed

When the path of our life and faith is
hard and soft,
stable and unstable,
clear and uncharted,
up hills and down valleys

Help us to discover times and places of
quiet peace amid the noise
new sounds among the stillness
order out of the chaos
joy despite the pain

Keep us attentive to your voice among
the open and closed,
the lost and found,
friends and strangers,
locals and foreigners...

We pray in the name of the one
who is known and yet unknown,
who seeks us as we try to seek,
who calls us to remember and be re-membered,
who is closer to us than this breath
Amen.
