Biblical Counselling Australia has just announced that Darby Strickland will be here in 2026. From 31 Aug to 4 Sep she'll be teaching a unit on domestic violence at PTC Melbourne (also available for audit), and she'll be in Sydney on Sat 12 Sep, speaking on trauma. Highly recommended speaker, counsellor and lecturer. As you plan your 2026 calendar, this would be a great event to pencil in!

I have just completed the following "Tune Up" survey from Centre for Effective Serving ( Valerie and Josh Ling) and found it to be easy to do and very helpful to reflect upon my overall well being. It is free and there are options for follow up but they are optional. Give it a go, reflect on the results yourself and/or chat with your Mentor, or Pastoral Supervisor or Coach or Spouse and think about what action you may take because of the results.

I’ve just caught up on the two most recent episodes of the Clarity Not Consensus podcast, produced by the PCNSW Women’s Ministry Committee. Can I encourage you to download and have a listen! Some really thoughtful and also vulnerable stuff from men and women working together in Presbyterian churches. I feel like I want to tell you all the good stuff, but that would take too long. Not sure how your year has started or how your planning for 2025 is going but I listened to this from Carey Nieuwhof this morning and it has given me much to think about for 2025. Have a listen, remember it is based on US statistics but they are not a lot different to Australian Statistics and you can look them up on the NCLIS website.
