Friend of PYNSW Cooper Rispin, Connect & Youth Minister at Gateway Presbyterian, wants to invite you to consider an exciting short-term mission opportunity this summer!

Cooper says, “We are seeking expressions of interest from individuals and groups to help pioneer a new SUNSW Mission Plant on the Tomaree Peninsula (Port Stephens) in summer 2026–27.

This area has over 30,000 people, yet well less than 1000 would be attending a local church, and only one or two dozen students from the local state high school engage with SRE or youth groups.

I really believe Port Stephens is a strategic place for this kind of mission and has great potential for long-term gospel impact.”

Missions like this are a great way to help young leaders grow in competence, and come back to serve in their local church with more confidence. We commend this opportunity to you!

David wrote this Psalm in the middle of trouble - surrounded by enemies, crying out for God's mercy. And in that moment of need, this is what he clings to: not just that God can help, but who God is.
Compassionate. Gracious. Slow to anger. Abundant in love and faithfulness.
This is God’s steadfast character. What great joy we have knowing this!

Steph Wong shares her thoughts on neurodiversity in the church, and in youth ministry, in our latest article.

She encourages everyone that loving and including all people in the life of a church is one way we can demonstrate the love of God. “All people are made in the image of God, and they have dignity and worth outside of their capacity or what functions they can perform,” she shares.

Hany, who heads up the youth group at Merryland East Presbyterian Church, attended PY Encourage last month.

Hearing experiences from those who grew up in very anglo-centric churches helped him appreciate all the colour, vibrancy and joy that the multicultural church brings, as well as the complexities.
