St. Andrew's Uniting Church, Sunbury

St. Andrew's Uniting Church, Sunbury We at St. Andrew’s strive to be a family of caring people, following Jesus and sharing God’s love. OUR SERVICES

Our 9.30am Service is held every Sunday.

Drop in any time – you’ll be made very welcome! A crèche is available when required, in the church hall (the rear of the building) during the Service, including during school holidays. Alternatively, feel free to sit in the carpeted play area in the back row of the Chapel with your children. Children are very welcome at St. Andrew’s! On the third Sunday of each month, commencing at 6pm, our ‘Sunag

o’ gathering is held. This group is intended for people who are curious about issues of faith and spirituality, and are looking for an alternate style of engaging in these areas. The evening includes a meal. A more traditional Service takes place on fourth Sundays at 2pm, followed by a delicious ‘sit-down’ afternoon tea. This is ideal for those who love the old favourite hymns. Peter, on the clavinova, and Malcolm, on the organ, are our very popular musicians. http://sunburyunitingchurch.org.au/sunday-services

This year's World Day of Prayer Service is at 7.30pm on Wednesday 4th March, at the Bethany Lutheran Church (57 Brook Street). Everyone is welcome!

The World Day of Prayer is a global movement of informed prayer and prayerful action. Prayer and action are what link Christians together around the world.

A different country each year shares their faith, cultures and traditions and brings their hopes, joys and needs to the world. This year the host country is Nigeria and the theme is “I Will Give You Rest: Come” (Matthew 11: 28-30).

Did you know? ....that all that foil from your Easter eggs can be recycled? Even those little (hard to unwrap!) eggs. Aluminium foil is one of the most valuable materials to recycle, and recycling it saves more than 90% of the energy required to produce aluminium from raw materials.

Collect it all and keep wrapping in bigger pieces until it's about the size of a tennis ball.

Reduce / reuse / recyle! The Uniting Church is a 'green' church!

In 2021, the Uniting Church Assembly adopted a new Climate Action Plan designed to encourage action across the Church. The Action Plan commits the Assembly to reduce its carbon footprint to achieve net zero emissions by 2040 by cutting back greenhouse gas emissions by 5 per cent per annum. https://uniting.church/climate/
