I received this Kangaroo Paw plant as a gift at my ordination service from my Church Stroud Baptist. I have been working through maintaining its positioning as its a little sensitive whilst quite hardy. Like a lot of things we need to understand how to care for it properly to overcome issues. First mistake it doesn't like a lot of water or to water its leaves. It loves lots of sunshine so that's one win. So my over caring caused ink spot.
It seems some special fertilizer and prune some back is its fix. So outlook with summer coming is bright. I went out this morning to see this new little bud kicking off life the species is called Ruby Velvet and the buds or flowers are really pretty.
I observed this as I was preparing for my sermon next Sunday and realised we are very much like this plant. When we understand what it takes to be healthy we can manage that and too much of a good thing isn't all that good after all.
I am starting a series at Stroud called "What's Next" first week is Start with God. Part of the bible reading is from Proverbs 3:5-7
5 Trust in the LORD with all your heart;
do not depend on your own understanding.
6 Seek his will in all you do,
and he will show you which path to take.
7 Donβt be impressed with your own wisdom.
Instead, fear the LORD and turn away from evil. NLT
See the plant needed special treatment I just watered it like the rest of my plants, that didn't help it survive. So I learnt follow the instructions to care for it by best practice. We have the bible Gods word that's what is meant for our best practice when we read it understand it and follow it.
I pray you have a great day God Bless
