Do you ever feel awkward, ill-equipped, unqualified or unprepared to share the gospel?

Do you know someone who is curious about Jesus and the Christian faith, but you just aren’t sure of the next steps?

Do you wish you could more freely share the gospel in a natural way with your family, friends, workmates or neighbours?

If you answered ‘yes’ to any of these questions, then the upcoming Gospel Fluency workshop (see details below) is for you. This workshop is designed to give you a vocabulary, context and some actual practice in sharing the gospel in words and actions with those around you. It will equip you to share the good news confidently.

Hope to see you there!

On Pentecost Sunday, we usually focus on the tongues of fire or the sound of the rushing wind described in Acts 2 when the Holy Spirit came upon the early church. And we often think of the Spirt as resembling a dove, recalling the visible Spirit who alighted on Jesus at his baptism.

However, there’s another powerful mage of the Spirit that perhaps we don’t focus on as much: living water. Jesus said, “Whoever believes in me, as Scripture has said, rivers of living water will flow from within them.” By this he meant the Spirit… (John 7:38-39a)

Join us for worship at 9am tomorrow at Strathalbyn or via our live stream as we celebrate the Holy Spirit, the living water that flows through us and into our communities.

Hilltops & mountaintops are almost mystical places. They provide a breathtaking view of the surrounding landscape & create spaces for unique encounters with God.

This was certainly the case in biblical times, hence why Jesus’ ascension occurred on top of a large hill. And what he did there was indeed breathtaking.

As Jesus ascended to the Father, he raised his hands and blessed his disciples. What a sight this would’ve been!

And his hands of blessing haven’t gone down since. They’re continually raised to us as well as those with whom we share the Gospel.

Join us for worship on Sunday (9am at Salem & 11am at Strathalbyn) or via our livestream (11am only) as we receive blessings from Jesus.

In Acts 17, Paul fluently proclaimed the Gospel at the Areopagus in Athens- a place where religious ideas and philosophies were shared & debated. He proclaimed the saving work of Jesus to a crowd with a diverse range of beliefs.

In today’s world, the sharing of ideas (& the Gospel) occurs not in the public square, but ‘around the water cooler’ & in social media spaces. Yet, the people we bring Jesus to are just as varied in their beliefs as those at the Areopagus.

As we reflect on Paul’s outreach at the Areopagus, what can we learn about how we approach sharing the Gospel with those who are searching for life & truth? How might we grow in ‘Gospel fluency’?

Join us for worship tomorrow at 9am at Strathalbyn (or via our livestream) as we praise our risen Lord Jesus.

At the last supper, Jesus comforted his troubled disciples by telling them that there are many rooms in his Father's house and that he was going to prepare an eternal dwelling place for them. This is what he was going to earn for them through his death and resurrection.

And the same is true for us. All those who believe in Jesus have an eternal dwelling place reserved for them.

How does this hope and promise strengthen us when our hearts are troubled? And if there are many rooms in the Father's house, how many of them can we help fill by telling others about Jesus?

Join us for worship tomorrow (9am at Strathalbyn & 11am at Salem) or via our live stream (9am only) as we praise Jesus- the way, the truth and the life.

We live in a world that tells us we need to have it all together, to pretend that brokenness doesn't exist. Yet, there's blessing to be found in embracing brokenness.

In Luke 24:13-35, two of Jesus' disciples experienced the blessing of brokenness. Not only did they encounter Jesus in the breaking of the bread, but also in their brokenness. As they voiced their anxiety & dashed hopes, their hearts were revived by their risen Saviour.

We too encounter Jesus in Holy Communion, in our brokenness & in meals shared with other broken people. In fact, the more we embrace brokenness, the more we see our risen Saviour at work.

Join us for worship tomorrow (9am at Salem & 11am at Strathalbyn) or via our live stream (11am only) as we encounter Jesus in the breaking of the bread.

On that first Easter Sunday evening, the disciples’ minds were a labyrinth of fear, doubt, guilt and shame. They were a ‘hot mess.’

Then the risen Jesus appeared and said, “Peace be with you. As the Father sent me, I am sending you.” He filled them with peace and commissioned them to continue his saving mission.

Our minds can also seem like a labyrinth, especially when we encounter the dead ends of fear and guilt. We need Jesus to regularly breathe his peace into us to free us from these dead ends and equip us to participate in his saving mission.

Join us for worship at 9am tomorrow at Strathalbyn (or via our livestream) as we praise our risen Lord Jesus and receive his peace.

Having completed our Lenten desert journey, we now head back into the city to celebrate the greatest day in human history. Having walked with Jesus in the darkness and sorrow of the garden and observed his death on the cross, we now arrive at the beautiful empty tomb.

Join us for worship tomorrow morning (9am at Strathalbyn & 11am at Salem) or via our live stream (9am only) as we praise our risen Lord Jesus!

(You're invited to bring a flower with you to place on our Easter Cross.)

As we hear the story of Jesus’ triumphal entry into Jerusalem, we turn our attention to the crowd that gathered along the road. What can they teach us about our faith journey?
