🍂 Family Mini Sessions are back for SPRING 🍂

These fundraiser mini sessions are a little more personal for us...

Many of you know me (Jodi) as the face behind No Greater Joy Photography, but you may not know that I'm also the Next Generation Pastor at Vineyard Christian Church. Our beautiful assistant, Mel, is also our very first Youth Leadership Apprentice, and our 2nd Assistant, Lily, is one of our faithful Kids and Youth Leaders. All of our roles are completely voluntary and are a big investment of time and love.

One of our greatest passions is seeing children and young people thrive - to know they are loved, valued, and created with purpose. Every week we have the privilege of investing in the next generation through programs like Friday Kids Club, Friday Night Youth Group, Kingdom Cubs Playgroup, Kingdom Kids Homeschool Co-op, Sunday Kids Church, the She Inspires girls' mentoring program, school holiday events, leadership development, and so much more.

That's why we're always so busy haha and it's also why these Fundraiser Mini Sessions mean so much.

During the entire month of September we will be running these Mini Sessions to help raise funds for these incredible ministries, and we would love for you to be part of it.

How should I answer the religion question in the 2026 Australian Census?

The Australian Census is one of the few opportunities we have to provide an accurate picture of our nation’s religious landscape.

If you are part of a Pentecostal church, such as Vineyard Christian Church, here’s how you can help ensure your faith tradition is accurately represented:

✅ Answer Question 24 (Religion)
✅ Tick the “Other” box
✅ Write “Pentecostal”

This isn’t about elevating one denomination above another. Every Christian is encouraged to answer honestly according to their own faith tradition.

The reason many Pentecostal churches are encouraging people to write “Pentecostal” is that, in previous censuses, many Pentecostals selected the general “Christian” category or another denomination. As a result, the size of the Pentecostal movement in Australia has often been underrepresented.

Accurate census data helps provide a clearer understanding of Australia’s diverse Christian community.

Whatever your denomination, the most important thing is to answer truthfully and accurately.

If you’re part of the Vineyard family and identify as Pentecostal, we’d encourage you to write “Pentecostal” when completing your census.

It's easy to remember our struggles while forgetting God's faithfulness. In this message, Pastor Jodi takes us on a journey through Deuteronomy 6–7 and Lamentations 3 to discover why remembering is one of the most powerful spiritual disciplines. Moses reminds God's people to remember where they came from, who rescued them, and to never forget the God who has remained faithful through every season.

As we reflect on God's faithfulness in our past, His goodness in our present, and His promises for our future, we're challenged to choose faith over fear and hope over despair. Whatever you're facing today, remembering what God has already done gives us confidence to trust Him with whatever comes next.
