A huge thank you to CSG for coming to our B’nei Mitzvah class! The kids learnt about the incredible work CSG does for our community, followed by a fun and engaging self-defence session that they absolutely loved. As you can see by the photos the energy in the room was amazing - no one held back!

To finish off the class, some cool down stretching and the kids were treated to a well deserved ice cream, the perfect ending to a fantastic evening!

During the week, St Kilda Shule was honoured to welcome Her Excellency Professor the Honourable Margaret Gardner AC, Governor of Victoria.
In the lead up to Shavuot, the Governor enjoyed cheesecake while discussing Jewish communal life, the significance of receiving the Torah, and some of the traditions of the festival. Her Excellency was shown a Torah scroll and expressed genuine appreciation for our community and its contribution to Victoria since 1871.

The B’nei Mitzvah classes have been full of energy, laughter and hands on learning this year. Since the Escape Room adventure, the students have taken part in matza making, public speaking lessons and everyone got into the spirit of Lag B’Omer on our Bonfire and BBQ with a fantastic drumming experience.

Here are a few snapshots to catch you up on all the fun so far. With plenty more exciting and meaningful activities still to come this year, there’s lots for our students to look forward to!
