It's a Public Holiday on Monday but the mainly music team are inviting families to a picnic.

JOIN US for Mainly Music THIS WEEK AT GLORIA PARK.
Because it is a public holiday on Monday, we are heading to Gloria Park. 10.30am - 11.30am If it's raining, we will meet at Hazelbrook Uniting Hall in Rosedale Ave.
Bring your school-aged children along. Morning tea will be provided. No Cost.

𝗨𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗶𝗻 𝗣𝗿𝗮𝘆𝗲𝗿
𝗗𝗮𝘆 𝟭𝟯: 𝗪𝗮𝗹𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗶𝗻 𝗳𝗮𝗶𝘁𝗵

Loving God,

We pray for those in positions of authority and responsibility. Let humility, integrity and empathy be the compass that guide them towards peace, justice and protection. Grant our leaders the wisdom to see through the eyes of those they serve. Help them understand their joys and sorrows alike.

We pray for those with no power over their own lives. For those who have been silenced, or who are yet to find the courage to raise their voices. Guide them to find hope in the stars on the darkest nights and solidarity in their siblings across the globe. May they encounter kindness in the most unlikely times, and know that they are seen, heard, and loved.

We pray for our world in this time of deep uncertainty. Help us find stability within ourselves and each other. When division grows louder than understanding, conflict obscures the path towards peace, remind us of our shared humanity. Teach us to see beyond borders, beliefs and differences, recognising in one another the same dignity, worth and longing for hope.

We pray for each other as we walk alongside you as Creator, Christ and Holy Spirit in our respective journeys of faith. Strengthen us to lead with compassion, serve with humility and trust in your discernment when the road ahead seems unclear. Help us to be a source of light to our neighbours who are lost in darkness and a voice for those who cannot speak.

May our faith be reflected not through our words but through the way we care for one another and the world around us, regardless of who or where we are.

Amen.

We're in the middle of Reconciliation Week and this year Reconciliation Australia invited choirs around the country to sing the iconic Midnight Oil song 'Beds Are Burning'.
We hosted a Pop-up Choir comprising members of our Blue Mountains community and beyond.

𝗨𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗶𝗻 𝗣𝗿𝗮𝘆𝗲𝗿
𝗗𝗮𝘆 𝟳: 𝗟𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗗𝗲𝗲𝗽𝗹𝘆

Gracious God – Creator, Christ and Holy Spirit,
on this day you gather us as one Church,
across this wide land – many cultures and voices.

Your Word reminds us: “There are varieties of gifts, but the same Spirit… For in the one Spirit we were all baptised into one body” (1 Corinthians 12).
And so, we come, listening, trusting that your Spirit is already at work among us.

Teach us to listen deeply:
to your Word that gives life,
to one another in all our diversity,
and to the wisdom of First Peoples,
with whom we walk in covenant.

Lord Jesus Christ,
you call us to be woven together in your love,
not erased in our differences but held together by your grace.
Where there is distance, draw us close.
Where there is misunderstanding, grow in us patience and humility.
Where there is hurt, lead us in truth, healing, and renewed trust.

Holy Spirit,
breathe upon your Church again.
Renew us for your mission.
Shape us as a people who listen before we speak,
who discern together,
and who follow where you lead.

We give thanks for the signs of your presence among us
in quiet faithfulness, in courageous leadership,
and in communities seeking to reflect your love across every boundary.

Make us one, O God,
one body, one people, sent in Christ’s name.
Amen.

Uniting in Prayer - Day 6

𝗨𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗶𝗻 𝗣𝗿𝗮𝘆𝗲𝗿
𝗗𝗮𝘆 𝟲: 𝗦𝗽𝗶𝗿𝗶𝘁, 𝗟𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗖𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗻𝗮𝗻𝘁

Spirit of the living God,
we come as your people, Pilgrims of the Spirit;
a Church on the move,
trusting that you are already at work among us.

Across this wide land,
and from our life together in Victoria and Tasmania,
we give thanks for the many ways your Spirit is stirring;
in congregations and communities,
in ministries of care, justice, and witness,
in voices both strong and quiet,
calling your Church forward.

You call us into relationship;
with one another, with this land,
and with the First Peoples who have held story, faith, and wisdom across generations.
Teach us to listen more deeply;
not only to what is familiar, but to the voices we have not yet fully heard.
Shape us as a covenant people,
committed to truth, shared responsibility, and faithful action.

Christ who gathers us,
you remind us that we are not who we are in isolation.
We belong to one another.
And so we ask:
where are we yet to listen?
Who is present among us, but not yet heard?
And what is your Spirit inviting your Church to become?

As Pilgrims of the Spirit,
lead us beyond what is known and comfortable,
into the wider life of your kingdom;
where diversity is honoured,
belonging is nurtured,
and unity is shaped in love.

Renew your Church,
that we may listen with humility,
walk with courage,
and share in your work of justice, healing, and hope.

And in this season of prayer,
bind us together as one;
one Church, many voices,
held in the grace of Christ,
and led always forward by your Spirit.
