Our Encounter Youth Group is back for Week two! Youth group is a great opportunity for high schoolers to get engaged with their faith. Whether they’ve received sacraments or not, youth can be the place where a true encounter and personal relationship with Jesus begins for a young person. This starts with being surrounded by Christians their age! If you’re a high schooler, or a parent of a high schooler, we highly recommend getting involved. The next Encounter Youth night is this coming Friday at 6:30pm, here in the Church. World Marriage Day 💍
Celebrated at all Masses this weekend, with a blessing of all married couples and renewal of vows, especially those married for more than 50 years, whose lives together are a beautiful witness of faithful love. 🙏🤍

Sacramental Journey 2026

The parish is pleased to invite parents to an Information Night on Monday, 2 March at 6:30pm for the 2026 Sacramental Journey, which includes preparation for Confirmation, Reconciliation, and First Holy Communion.

To enrol in Confirmation, children must be baptised and in Year 3 or above. A Birth Certificate and Baptismal Certificate are required. Families are encouraged to register on Flocknote, our new online registration system. Link: Olscparish.flocknote.com/register. Enrolment link for the sacraments, through Flocknote, will be shared on the information night.

Preparation for Reconciliation and First Holy Communion will take place in Term 3 for children in Year 4 and above who have already received The Sacrament of Confirmation. For enquiries and a copy of the program, please contact the office at [email protected]

Believe it or not, Lent is not too far away, starting on Wednesday 18th February. We will be starting our Lenten Programs from Tuesday 24th February. Like last year, our Lenten Program will be sourced from our parish subscription to FORMED. While this is being finalised now, it’s not too early to sign up to a group now. Children’s Catechesis

Children's Catechesis will resume on Sunday, 8th February at 10:15am, after the 9am Mass. It aims to continue the formation of our kids in grades 4-6 beyond the Sacraments of Initiation and to nurture their relationship with Jesus in engaging sessions in a co-ed setting. Southern Cross Kids Term 1

Southern Cross Kids will resume Children’s Liturgy on Sunday 8th February during the 9am Mass. This helps children to celebrate liturgically the Word of God together in an age-appropriate way through song, visual narrative, animated story-telling and reflection on the scriptures. Southern Cross Kids is open to Primary School aged children (Prep-Grade 6).
