Kia orana to you all brother's and sister's; families and friends throughout the whole wider community and wide world. On behalf of the Gold Coast Cook Islands Christian Church I greet you all in the wonderful, precious, mighty, powerful name of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.
We the Gold Coast Cook Islands Christian Church is conducting a FACEBOOK FUNDRAISER titled:
"A SOWER AND A GIVERS HEART."
We are praying and seeking for 100 people out there in the whole wider community and wide world with "A SOWER AND A GIVERS HEART" through SOWING and GIVING into the future PLAN'S and PURPOSE of GOD'S work in the church.
One who is a HEARTY GIVER or who GIVES from the HEART as 2 Corinthians 9:6-7 says.
1. One who SOWS and GIVES GENEROUSLY:- .."whoever sows generously will also reap generously."
2. One who SOWS and GIVES WILLINGLY:-
"Each of you should give what you have decided..."
3. One who SOWS and GIVES CHEERFULLY:-
"…for God loves a cheerful giver"
Notice brother's and sister's that it is our HEART that makes the difference in our SOWING and GIVING. Paul tells us, in 2 Corinthians 9:7:- "…GIVE what you have decided in your HEART to GIVE…". When our HEART is engaged in SOWING and GIVING, there is no hesitance and no sense of compulsion, only CHEERFUL SOWING and GIVING.
Paul notes the desire behind "A SOWER AND A GIVERS HEART" in 2 Corinthians 8:10, "Last year you were the first not only to GIVE but also to have the DESIRE to do so". When it does not come from the HEART, it does not come from a DESIRE within us but from an obligation we feel that is imposed upon us. Brothers and Sisters; Families and Friends, SOWING and GIVING must be fully connected to the HEART.
When Jesus told us in Mathew 22:37, "Love the Lord your God…" We may think it is a command, but it is actually a response as John tells us in 1 John 4:19, "We love because He first loved us". We also GIVE because He first GAVE to us. Notice also that one of God’s nature is a GIVER as John 3:16 says, “For God so loved the world that He GAVE…”
We may think that SOWING and GIVING is a PRACTICAL issue, but it is actually a SPIRITUAL issue, because the cause and the motivation behind SOWING and GIVING reflects the quality of our relationship with God Almighty.
• If our HEARTS are the recipients of HIS GRACE.
• If our HEARTS are moved by HIS KINDNESS to us.
• If our HEARTS have responded to HIS LOVE.
Surely what follows is that our HEARTS will be willing to SOW and GIVE.
May our HEARTS of SOWING and GIVING:
1. BE GENEROUS
2. BE WILLING
3. BE CHEERFUL
as it reflects our relationship with God Almighty and with one another in the name of Jesus.
The following is how we will conduct this.
Pick a number from:
1. 1-20 you donate $100 per number.
2. 21-40 you donate $200 per number.
3. 41-60 you donate $300 per number.
4. 61-80 you donate $400 per number.
5. 81-100 you donate $500 per number.
We will be running this from today until numbers are all taken.
