For the month of April, due to our current venue’s hall floor being resurfaced, we have a change of time and venue. Gympie’s Church of Christ are generously allowing us to use their facilities. We are holding our April Sunday worship services at 4pm each Sunday, followed by a shared dinner.

For the month of April, due to our current venue’s hall floor being resurfaced, we have a change of time and venue. Gympie’s Church of Christ are generously allowing us to use their facilities. We are holding our April Sunday worship services at 4pm each Sunday, followed by a shared “pot luck” dinner. Good Friday’s service is a combined service at 8.30am or 10.30am.

Prior to the service, from 9.30am, there is viewing with an opportunity to say a personal goodbye to Dean.

Tania has asked that in honour of Dean, please wear your favourite hat.

For those that can't make the service in person, a live stream will be available. The link has been emailed again this morning for those on our church family email list.

There will be refreshments following the service.

At 3pm there is an after-event at Aquavue Beachside Bar and Eatery.

In Loving Memory of Pastor Dean Comerford

It is with heavy hearts that we share the news of the passing of our beloved former pastor, Dean Comerford, affectionately known as Deano. For over a decade, until his departure in 2020, Deano served as the heart and soul of our church family, guiding us with unwavering faith, warmth, and dedication.

Deano’s leadership carried our congregation through significant challenges and transformative moments. Under his guidance, we outgrew our Pine Street Hall and secured the church block that has positioned us so strongly today. His vision and commitment laid a foundation for our future, but his true legacy lies in the countless lives he touched. Deano was a true people person, fostering growth and faith not only within our church but across the wider Christian community in Gympie and beyond. His love, wisdom, and infectious spirit left an indelible mark on all who knew him.

As we mourn this profound loss, we hold close Deano’s wife, Tania, his children, Sam and Amelia, and daughter-in-law, Grace and granddaughter Poppy. Please join us in praying for their comfort and strength during this difficult time. We will share details of plans to honour and remember Deano in a seperate post

If you feel the need to talk, our Elders are here for you—please don’t hesitate to reach out. Let us come together in faith and love, trusting in Christ’s promise of hope and eternal life.
