Our Year 6 students joined Bishop Ken Howell and students from across the Diocese of Toowoomba at St Patrick’s Cathedral for the annual Patron Feast Day Mass of Mary of the Southern Cross, celebrated on September 1st each year. It was a wonderful occasion of faith, community and celebration!

Scared of synodality?

✔️ At the service of Mission
✔️ More capable of reclaiming the Kingdom of God
✔️ Witnessing to the Gospel of the Lord to men and women of our time

Synodality can get a bad wrap in Catholic circles. Shaded by cynicism and concern, we hear a lot of pushback about synodality, often underpinned by a worry that change is an attack on the beautiful traditions and teachings of our Church.

We'll be exploring more of these themes with our Synod Members in our upcoming Synod Formation sessions. The intersection of ecclesiology and synodality is the topic of our first session in a fortnight, and we are very much looking forward to unpacking these topics together.
