BUILD SUNDAY
There are moments that remind us just how connected the family of God really is.
Recently, Sam and Khin sent us an update from their ministry. As we read it, we were reminded that although we’re separated by thousands of kilometres, we’re part of the same story God is writing.
They shared about children finding a safe home. About meals around the table, school uniforms, books, medical care, and the opportunity for children to grow up surrounded by love, security and hope. They shared about their local church continuing to reach their community and the joy of seeing people encounter Jesus.
“You are a vital part of every smile, every breakthrough, and every prayer answered here.”
“You are co-labourers in the Gospel with us… Thank you for standing shoulder-to-shoulder with us.”
What a beautiful reminder of what the Church is.
We worship in different places, but we belong to the same family.
We may never meet every child whose life is being changed or every person hearing the Gospel, but together we get to be part of what God is doing beyond our own community.
To Sam and Khin, thank you for your faithfulness, your courage and your love for the people God has called you to serve. It is a privilege to partner with you.
And to our Presence family, thank you for being a church that continues to look beyond itself. Every prayer prayed, every act of generosity and every encouragement shared is helping bring hope, care and the love of Jesus to people across the world.
We can’t wait to celebrate Build Sunday together this weekend. 💛
