St Peter's Anglican Church South Tamworth

St Peter's Anglican Church South Tamworth Vision: To see as many as possible in our community come to know forgiveness and fresh start through Jesus. At St. (2 Tim 3:16-17). Peter’s.

Peter's South Tamworth we firmly believe that Jesus is who he claimed to be, the Christ: Son of the living God. This conviction is based on the historical claims about Jesus’ life, death and resurrection as recorded in the gospels of the New testament. These biographies, based on eye witness accounts affirm that Jesus was God become man and that he has the right to our ultimate allegiance as human

beings. We believe that the Bible, both Old and New testaments, is the inspired word of God, and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness that the man or woman of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work. Furthermore we believe that the scriptures must be our ultimate rule for life and faith, and that no part of it can be ignored as irrelevant or outdated. We believe that the Apostles’ and Nicene Creeds provide a helpful summary of what we believe and use these statements regularly in our weekly gatherings. The 39 articles contained in the back of the Australian Anglican Prayer book also provide a helpful summary of the doctrines we believe at St.

On Sunday, Jimmy preached on Genesis 4, he spoke about how sin has broken our relationship with God and others. But there is hope in Jesus.
God made it, we broke it, Jesus will fix it.

At St Peter's we welcome all people to be part of God's family.
God created everyone. He loves and wants a relationship with each of us as his children. As believers in Jesus, we meet as a church where we can share and love one another as a family. Every Sunday it's great to meet together!

In Matthew 19:14 Jesus said "Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such of these."

Here at St Peters we love Jesus and we love people. At Playtime, while parents chat and make new friends, the preschool children enjoy various activities such as story telling, music, water play and many other fun things. It is during school term on Mondays at 10:30 and is run by volunteer parents from St Peters. It is a great time for fun, friendships and community.

At St Peters Church we run the Discover course where people can come along and have conversations in a relaxed atmosphere, raising questions like who is Jesus? Why is He significant? How can we know He offers truth and hope?
This is an opportunity to discuss these questions openly and find the answers together.

At Coledale Frontyard Church this year our focus has been on 'Who we are'. With the support of the community who turn up, we have decided on 5 simple rules. The main one being we are family and we will care for each other as family. For those that don't know, we come together every Wednesday night at Glen St to learn about God, sing and eat together. Our plan is to build strong connections and friendship with the Coledale community reflecting our desire to be one family under God.
