A scaffold has been especially placed and some cleaning supplies have been organised and work has commenced since Tuesday this week. The scaffold will remain until this Friday evening. If you can spare an hour or two this week- it’d be greatly appreciated!
If you know anyone who would be interested in helping- please ask!
You must be able to climb onto a scaffold platform via a ladder and not have a problem with heights.
If you can help please present to the church, during the day.

Tomorrow is Sunday of All Saints 7/06/26
Matins & Divine Liturgy from 8.30am

The Sunday following Pentecost is
dedicated to All Saints, both those who are known to us, and those who are known only to God. There have been saints at all times, and they have come from every corner of the earth. They were Apostles, Martyrs, Prophets, Hierarchs, Monastics, and Righteous, yet all were perfected by the same Holy Spirit.

The Descent of the Holy Spirit makes it possible for us to rise above our fallen state and to attain sainthood, thereby fulfilling God’s directive to “be holy, for I am holy” (Lev. 11:44, 1 Peter 1:16, etc.). Therefore, it is fitting to commemorate All Saints on the first Sunday after Pentecost.

Apolytikion of All Saints
Fourth Tone
Your Church, O Christ our God, clothed itself in the blood of Your martyrs from throughout the world, as though it were a robe of linen and purple; through them, she cries out to You, "Send down upon Your people compassion, grant peace to Your commonwealth, and to our souls, great mercy."
Kontakion of All Saints
Plagal of the Fourth Tone
The world offers You, the author of all creation, as the first-fruits of nature, the God-bearing martyrs. O most merciful, by their intercessions, through the Theotokos, maintain Your Church in perfect peace.

Tomorrow 1/06/26 is Monday of the Holy Spirit. There will be Matins & Divine Liturgy from 8.30am

“When I cry and groan about my sins, my heart deepens. I sigh from the depths of my soul and am relieved.

The Jesus prayer runs, it runs... and, at an unsuspected time, I do not know how, with the binoculars of the heart I see that abundant Light, which does not fit the mind and no tongue can tell. No one can describe the majesty of the sky! The sky hides many mysteries. The Light is abundant, it has no beginning, no middle and no end. It is unformed, similar. It's full of information. A lot of inexplicable things are explained in it. Some you can narrate, but most of them you cannot. He is the Light of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. In one Light all three are visible, but they are also discernible as three Lights, which is one Light! I don't know how to describe it to you.

The beginningless Father is not visible. No one has seen him, nor will he ever be seen, not even the angels. He is hidden by too much Light. But it shows his goodness, his love, which cannot be described, his provision for the world, his tolerance and long-suffering. The Son appears, because He became like us: He took a human body and clearly seems to be emitting Light! He has blue eyes, auburn hair and a forked beard, medium stature and a symmetrical body. He has the wounds of the Cross unhealed so that we can recognize him, because many have called him a fool, a wise man, etc. The Holy Spirit is not visible. It's light! He came into the world and did not leave. It moves with a big bang, but no one hears it! He passes through everyone constantly, but dwells where there is repentance.

The divine is fragrant. They bring peace, tranquility, and paradise to the soul and control over our mess. I see in the Light that God is everything and I am nothing”.

Gerontissa Galaktia of Crete

All souls day

The Saturday before Apocreo Sunday is called - "Saturday of Souls" or Psycho Saturday. It is the first of the two Holy Saturdays of the year (the second takes place on the Saturday before Pentecost Sunday).
The reason our Church instituted it, even though every Saturday is dedicated to those who have fallen asleep, is the following: Because many at times died young or in the wilderness or at sea or on the mountains and slopes or even some, due to poverty, were not claimed of the ordered commemorations, "the divine Fathers, acting in a philanthropic manner, instituted this commemoration in favor of all Christians who have reverently passed away through the ages", because on Apocreos Sunday we commemorate the Second Coming of Christ and our sleeping ones have not yet been judged, we remember them today and, invoking His infinite mercy, we ask God with the memorial service we are doing, to give them rest. At the same time, we also remember death and are "moved to repentance...".

Tomorrow Thursday 21st May 2026, Feast of the Ascension of Our Lord and also the feast day of St. Constantine & Helen, Equal to the Apostles.
Matins & Divine liturgy from 8.30am

On the fortieth day after His passover, Jesus ascended into heaven to be glorified on the right hand of God (Acts 1.9–11; Mk 16.19; Lk 24.51). The ascension of Christ is His final physical departure from this world after the resurrection. It is the formal completion of His mission in this world as the Messianic Saviour. It is His glorious return to the Father Who had sent Him into the world to accomplish the work that He had given him to do (Jn 17.4–5).
. . and lifting His hands He blessed them. While blessing them, He parted from them and was carried up into heaven. And they returned to Jerusalem with great joy (Lk 24.51–52).

Christ has risen! Good night to all the children, we hope to see you all tomorrow at Sunday school at our church…God bless all our families and their children.

Here are the words. To the Prayer with an English translation ❤️

I will hold a prayer rope,
to ascend to heaven,
with small prayers that are so powerful,
As much as I can do to defeat the enemy.
And my first prayer is the one that will be heard,
Holy Trinity, save us always,
As much as I can do to defeat the enemy.
My second prayer I will say out loud,
Lord Jesus Christ, save us, as much as I can do to defeat the enemy.
The third prayer I will say to the Virgin Mary is
O Holy Theotokos, save us, as much as I can do to defeat the enemy.
