A beautiful afternoon was recently shared by the women of the church at the Girls in Grace Fika.

Fika: A deliberate pause… with a sweet treat while appreciating the good things in life such as coffee and cake with friends.

It was a special time to spend together, sharing, laughing, and celebrating the everyday blessings God has given us.

Thank you to everyone who attended, to the team who organised the gathering, and to those who brought some delicious goodies to share. Your presence and contributions made the afternoon truly memorable.

Series on the Gospel of Matthew

Things are starting to heat up in Matthew 21-25, as the gap between those who believe Jesus might be the Messiah, and those who want him dead, widens. Stephen preaches from Sorell about the importance of who we say Jesus is, as we await his return.

We’re continuing our series in the Gospel of Matthew, working through the book together week by week.

From chapters 16-18, Stephen Savage asks the question that Jesus asked Peter: "Who do you say that I am?" This was a pivotal moment for Peter in his own faith journey, and it is for us, too.

We love our “Kids Bit” at church! At the start of each service, the kids come up the front for a short story, some questions, or even a song before heading out to Sunday School.

Our Sunday School at Sorell is full of play-based learning, Bible stories, short videos, games, crafts, and plenty of fun for both preschool and school-aged kids. Led by Melanie, Children’s Ministry Co-ordinator for South East Anglican, it’s a joyful space where kids can learn and grow in faith together.

National Day of Mourning

This evening from 7pm, St George’s lights will shine in remembrance of the 15 lives lost and all those impacted by the Bondi Beach terrorist attack.

Across Australia, the national commemorative installation titled ‘15 Pillars of Light’ will be illuminated from sundown to midnight. In Tasmania, this will be hosted at the Tasman Bridge in Hobart, and the Town Hall in Launceston.
