We need to cry out for revival in our hearts, our prayer needs to be!

Lord start a revival and begin with me!

2 Chronicles:7:14:KJV
14 If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.

DEEP HEART CHALLENGE

Let’s ask us some uncomfortable questions.

When did we last weep over someone who doesn’t know Jesus?

When did we last miss a meal because we were hungry for God?

When did we last spend extended time in prayer—not asking for things, just seeking His face?

When did Scripture last convict us deeply?

When did we last repent immediately without defending ourselves?

When did we last forgive somebody who hurt us?

When did we last turn off the noise and simply wait upon God?

When did we last say:

“Holy Ghost, if there is anything in me displeasing to You, show me.”

Let’s not just pray for revival out there until you’re willing for revival in our own lives, hearts and families.

PRAY

Father, in the name of Jesus,

we come before You.

We don’t come accusing the world.

We come examining our own hearts.

Lord—

“Wilt thou not revive us again: that thy people may rejoice in thee?”

Revive us again.

Awaken our prayer life.

Awaken our hunger.

Awaken our first love.

Awaken holiness.

Awaken compassion.

Awaken evangelism.

Awaken worship.

Awaken faith.

Awaken the gifts of the Holy Ghost.

But Lord—

START WITH ME.

In Jesus’ name.

Amen.

God is the one who promotes, so let’s not promote ourselves.

Promotion comes from God.

Psalm 76:4-7KJV

4 I said unto the fools, Deal not foolishly: and to the wicked, Lift not up the horn:
5 Lift not up your horn on high: speak not with a stiff neck.
6 For promotion cometh neither from the east, nor from the west, nor from the south.
7 But God is the judge: he putteth down one, and setteth up another.

The warning is:

Do not lift ourselves up through pride, exaggeration, manipulation, flattery, gossip or pushing others down.

The encouragement is:

Let us not panic when people overlook us.

What God has ordained for us cannot be stolen by another person’s opinion.

Or even when others are being promoted before us, let’s not be like the world jostling for position, power and prestige, with the attitude.

WHAT’S IN IT FOR ME!

We should not confuse waiting with laziness.

David served, learned, fought battles and behaved wisely, but he refused to murder Saul to obtain the throne.

David would not commit a fleshly act to fulfil a spiritual promise.

That is the lesson:

If God promised it, we do not have to manipulate it.

If God appointed it, we do not have to force it.

If God opens the door, no person can finally shut it.

So, let us keep serving when nobody applauds.

Let us keep studying when nobody notices.

Let’s keep praying when our name is not mentioned.

Let us be like David who worshipped in the wilderness, alone with the sheep.

Yet God saw his worship.

God hears our deep cries and he stores our tears in a bottle.

Let us keep your heart clean when somebody else receives the opportunity.

Let us keep envy and jealousy far from us, when others are promoted before us.

God knows where we live.

He has not lost our address.

He does not require Facebook to locate us, LinkedIn to evaluate us or a committee to remind Him of our calling!

At the appointed time, God knows how to bring one down and lift another up.

The deepest message of Psalm 75:4–7 is not merely, “God will give me a promotion.” It is:

God alone possesses the right to exalt.

Therefore, reject pride, walk humbly, remain faithful and trust His judgment.

As 1 Peter 5:6 declares:

“Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time.”

We do the humbling; God does the exalting.
We do the serving; God determines the setting.

We remain faithful; God decides the future.

Let’s not fall into the trap of delayed or selective obedience which is still disobedience.

Leadership is presence before they speak, it’s the anointing coupled with character.

The devil speaks suggestions, but we must not give him a landing place in our minds.

If what we are becoming does not resemble Jesus, something is wrong with our learning.

Bitterness gives yesterday’s offender permission to occupy today’s emotional space

Let’s not live in any more FOMOS the fear of missing out
