The Tasman Bridge will be illuminated in 'brilliant white' for one night (02/09/2026-03/09/2026) in solidarity with the victims of the devastating floods in Nepal.

In light of the catastrophic flooding that recently hit Nepal and Tibet, FPMT has launched the FPMT Emergency Relief Fund to provide immediate support to affected communities. This fund assists individuals and families impacted by natural disasters, emergency situations at FPMT centers and projects, and other urgent crises requiring swift aid.

We are currently utilizing this fund to raise relief funds for those impacted by the flooding that occurred on August 26 along the Bhote Koshi River on the Nepal-Tibet border. The floodwaters have swept away entire villages, homes, roads, bridges, and essential infrastructure across Rasuwa and neighboring districts. The scale of this disaster is still unfolding, with many people remaining unaccounted for and entire communities displaced.

FPMT is working directly with Kopan Monastery to identify those most in need and help ensure that support reaches affected families directly.

It has now been confirmed that, this time, from September 26 to October 2 (a period of 7 days), teachings and explanations will be given on the meditation practice of “The Guru Yoga of the Guru Inseparable from Avalokiteśvara,” composed by the Incomparably Gracious Victorious Vajradhara, His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama, together with an empowerment of Avalokiteśvara Jigten Wangchuk, along with other programs.

- September 19–20, 2026 (2 days): Opening the Heart, Cultivating Wisdom. An Introduction to Buddhist Teachings.
