While I enjoy thinking about the Athanasian Creed, our lives arenโt about creeds.
Theyโre about costly love, which is what the Trinity teaches us.
Creeds are important for our faith. Nicea, Chalcedon, Constantinople and other councils all attempt to provide a certainty to a profound mystery. Itโs the best we can do with our human words!
The human heart comprehends the mystery much deeper, often beyond words.
We ponder this today on Trinity Sunday.
