ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਵੀਰਾਂ ਨੇ ਸ਼ਨੀਵਾਰ ਸ਼ਾਮ ਅਤੇ ਐਤਵਾਰ ਸਵੇਰੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਕੇ ਲੰਗਰਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਹੱਥੀਂ ਸੇਵਾ ਕੀਤੀ ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣਾ ਦਸਵੰਦ ਪਾਇਆ, ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦਾ ਵੀ ਬਹੁਤ ਧੰਨਵਾਦ I

Sangat ji, we would like to invite you to the Shepparton Shaheedi Samagam 2026 which is being held in memory of all the martyrs of June 1984, as well as Bhai Hardeep Singh Nijjar, Bhai Avtar Singh Khanda, and Bhai Parmjeet Singh Panjwar.

During this Smagam, renowned Panthic Kavishar, Giani Gursharan Singh (Jago Lehar Wale), will be present to share the history of the martyrs and the Sikh struggle through inspiring Kavishari.

The event will also feature a special exhibition showcasing Sikh history and the legacy of the martyrs.

There will be various stalls with photographs of the martyrs, Pamphlets and brochures explaining Sikh history, Various books, Stationery, and other important material related to Sikh history and the martyrs.

Miri Piri Gatka Dal will demonstrate Gatka- Sikh martial art.

"Battle of Amritsar" is a must watch documentary film for our youth and younger generation to understand the Sikh struggle of 1984.

This film looks to the Battle of Amritsar as a guiding light to the future rather than a painful memory of the past.

By connecting viewers with the spirit of Sikh sangarsh (struggle) embodied by the jujharoos (warriors), the film is a soulful exploration of a momentous event in Sikh history. Based on interviews of those present throughout the battle, the film will take a deeper look at what the Battle of Amritsar means for the Sikh panth through the eyes of those who witnessed and participated directly.

While many documentaries and videos have been produced revolving around June 1984, many have been plagued by the influence of state propaganda or have focussed on outlining the technical details and immediate sequence of events leading up to the battle.

Instead, this documentary stands out as one which goes much deeper than merely seeking to justify or contextualize Sikh resistance.

Interlaced with powerful archival footage, a traditional Sikh soundscape, and soul-piercing poetry, this film is an artistic tapestry that seeks to capture the soul of Sikh resistance.

Facing a myriad of similar challenges and provocations today, the film revisits the Battle of Amritsar from a Sikh perspective to learn from those gurmukhs (Guru-oriented beings) about how to face our situation today with similar clarity and fortitude.

We humbly invite the Sangat to attend the June 1984 Shahidi Samagam at Gurdwara Sahib Shepparton from 26–28 June 2026.

UNITED SIKHS will be present throughout the Samagam with a collection of Sikh historical books suitable for children, youth, and adults. This is a great opportunity to learn about Sikh history, heritage, and the sacrifices of our Shaheeds through carefully selected literature for all age groups.

We look forward to meeting the Sangat and supporting Sikh education and awareness.

On the eve of June 1984 attack on Harmandar Shaib (Golden Temple), Khalistan Camp was organised at Gurudwara Sahib Shepparton from 6-7th June.
This included flags of the Sikh nation i.e. Khalistan flags as well as various kinds of pamphlets and brochures and photos explaining the history and importance of first week of June in modern Sikh history.
We thank the local Sikh community and volunteers for supporting this event.
