Last chance for young adults to put in an expression of interest for the Jesuit Magis program in the 10 days before World Youth Day in Korea in August next year. No final commitment needed at this point, but Fr Ramesh Richards SJ needs to have a sense of numbers who might be interested as he goes about his planning. Deadline for expressions of interest is 10 June.

A great opportunity to meet with other Ignatian young adults from around the world, and then to join the main World Youth Day events with Pope Leo.

In this Marian month of May, we give thanks for this year’s 175th anniversary of the establishment of the Sevenhill Jesuit community and ministries, and we pray for Our Lady’s ongoing guidance. On Easter Tuesday, Year 10 students and staff from St Ignatius’ College Adelaide visited Sevenhill for a Day of Reflection. It was great to welcome our visitors during this month in which we celebrate the 175th anniversary of the establishment of the Jesuit community and ministries at Sevenhill during Easter in 1851. We give thanks for the Sevenhill Altar Society volunteers in our parish who generously support the Jesuits’ stewardship of St Aloysius Church and the ministry of hospitality to our visitors.

Happy New Year! We hope you’ve all enjoyed a restful break over the holiday period.

We’ll be reopening for shopping and donations on Wednesday 14 January.

We know how it goes after a holiday declutter - once you’ve made the effort, you just want those items gone! Our shop relies on the generosity of community donations to keep our shelves stocked and to support our many community outreach programs.

If you’re able to hang on to your treasures just a little longer, we’ll be ready to welcome them (and you!) from the 14th.
