The Most Holy Trinity
This feast, first celebrated in monastic communities in the ninth century as an expression of praise to the triune God, was extended to the entire Western Church in the fourteenth century. It celebrates the mystery of God’s self-revelation through the experiences of the people of Israel, the disciples of Jesus, and the Christian people since Pentecost.

Claytons Parish Dinner 🍽 SAVE THE DATE!
The parish dinner you have when you’re not having a “parish” dinner — so named because, while this is a dinner organised for the parishioners and their friends, it is not organised by the parish, but by a parishioner of the Lefevre Catholic Community, with the blessing of the parish.

Next Claytons Dinner:
Saturday 4th July, 2026. Venue and other information will be forthcoming.

Volunteer Appreciation

Our Parish recognises the vital contribution of all of our volunteers and we thank you all again for your continued support of all the Parish Ministries that you are involved in.
National Volunteer Week (18th – 24th May), reminds us that strong relationships and shared responsibility create safe and welcoming communities. Our Parish flourishes because of our volunteers who generously share their time and talents, whilst also meeting safeguarding requirements and supporting safe practices.

Our Annual Volunteer Thank You Lunch is in the process of being organised - watch this space for further details which will be forthcoming very soon.

The next Volunteers’ Bus Trip will take place on Monday 1st June (leaving Sacred Heart Church at 10am) for a visit & free tour of the Mortlock Chamber at 11am (this will take about 1hr & 20mins) - this is within the SA State Library and it has been awarded the 2nd Best Library in the world. Lift access is available. Then we will have lunch in the Library Café (pies, pasties, croissants, wraps, toasted sandwiches, cakes, drinks, tea & coffee available [no alcohol available]. This trip is open to all of our parish volunteers, but seats on the bus, the tour & the cafe are limited to 20 - so if you would like to attend, please let either Gael Little or the Parish Office know as soon as possible.

Thank you,
Lefevre Catholic Community

Pentecost Sunday 🔥

This, the “fiftieth day”, concludes the season of Easter, the continuous single festival of the risen Christ. Pentecost, the Jewish feast of harvest, which also commemorates the giving of the Law of Moses, was the day when the Holy Spirit came upon the apostles (see Acts 2:1ff).
The event has been celebrated on this day at least since the third century. The joy of Pentecost is that the risen Christ breathes upon the Church and says, “Receive the Holy Spirit” (John 20:22)

Gospel Acclimation: "Alleluia, alleluia! Come, Holy Spirit, fill the hearts of your faithful and kindle in them the fire of your love. Alleluia!
