Family, friends, we have in the past few hours learnt news that our beloved sister, Talilotu Tuala Ofo, has been diagnosed with a life limiting illness, with the tragic reality that she is expected not to live beyond a few weeks. While currently in hospital, Tali will soon return home and will receive palliative care.
We cannot begin to fathom the depths of despair that Tali and her family may be feeling at present, but for her joy in the anticipation of going home to her eternal reward, to be in the presence of her Saviour and Lord, whom she has served with faithful obedience and love for much of her recently celebrated 72yrs, and her ultimate healing.
Friends, as you can imagine, in the hours and days ahead the Ofo family's priority will be Tali's comfort, making every moment count, taking the opportunity to be warmed by the loving memories of their lives together as a family, precious, precious moments. Your understanding in providing them with as much privacy as possible, allowing them the space to be together, in this sacred time, speaking life-affirming words of love and affection, as well as the pained expressions of imminent loss.
In addition to your respect of this time for Tali, Faamanu, Andrew (Asafo), Peter, with their partners, children, and extended family, your fervent and passionate prayer to the Father, pleading for God's abundant grace and mercy, His compassion and provision, is much appreciated.
We will share you with updates from the family as they are able to provide that information, and endeavour to respond to any questions you may have. The Ofo family appreciate your willingness to share those updates with family and friends who are committed to journeying with Tali, Faamanu & their family at this challenging time, uplifting them, providing them with much comfort.
